The 2017/2018 Football Academy • Starting in September 2017 Edukick Manchester will be looking to bring talented football players to Ellesmere College • Players from around the world will be attending the school • Taking GCSE’s, A-Levels or IB • Training and getting football opportunities with Edukick Manchester

Our Academy Ethos • To ensure that each student player dedicates the same commitment, perseverance and personal discipline to academic achievement as they do to football success • To instil in all players the importance of always demonstrating a professional, sporting and respectful attitude towards coaches, teachers, match officials and their peers • To develop and nurture each player’s ability to achieve their full potential, both as an individual player and as a member of a team, whatever that level that may be
Our Academy Ethos • Young players will be encouraged to develop a winning attitude they will also be shown how to lose with good grace and take positives from failure • To familiarise student players with the particular culture of English football, both on and off the pitch • Each player will be actively encouraged to develop an individual career plan. Student players will be introduced to a wide range of possible football related career paths, beyond the professional game, in order that they may continue to have career choices available they move through school and onto higher education

Professional Coaching • Regular Football Coaching (12 to 13 hours a week contact time) • UEFA qualified coaches. • Working on all aspects of your game. • Inclusion in competitive fixtures. (age dependant) • A fitness, strength & conditioning programme. • Rotation of positions.

Saturday Football fixtures or Training Supplementary activities throughout the week include: Choir and instrumental coaching, House and Senior Play rehearsals, Bedsit Cookery, SUNDAY Debating and the Model United Nations, Driving Lessons, Mentoring Lower School students, Wine Appreciation Society, Zumba Sunday Rest Day
UK Football Trials • Twice per year • Showcase your talent to scouts • 15 different clubs attended in October 2016 • A national scouting agent attends • Edukick coaches will prepare you for the trials
Feedback • Open dialog with the coaches • Honest feedback • 6 weekly report to you & your parents • Areas to work on and improve your game • Work with the coaches & staff to set and achieve targets
