GT-Radial NZ ENDURO CHAMPS 20TH-22ND July 2018 The Nelson Off-Road Racing Club is proud to be hosting The GT- Radial NZ Enduro Champs. This event is a 700km Enduro (Approx 350 km’s each day) in Golden Downs Forest. More details to follow. We hope that you all come to Nelson for this year’s NZ Enduro Championship for an excellent weekend of racing. Shared driving will be permitted: 1st driver must be ORANZ registered. 2nd driver if not ORANZ registered will need a day licence for each day of racing Day licence process to be completed and fee to be paid at registration. There is strictly NO ACCESS to the forest or pit area on Friday as forestry logging operations will be occurring all day Friday and into the night. NO camping or dogs permitted in the forest. 1
Friday 20th July 2018 Scrutineering for ALL competitors will be held at Speights Ale House between 3pm and 7pm. This is located at 99 Quarantine Road, Nelson (beside Mitre 10 Mega). THERE WILL BE NO SCRUTINEERING ON SATURDAY! Scrutineering order: 1. Drivers and passengers to sign in, complete all paperwork and get arm bands put on. 2. Get race attire checked 3. Take vehicle to be checked. As per ORANZ rules, No 2018 tag, NO race. Vehicles to be tagged prior to the event. NO tagging of vehicles will be done at scrutineering. As this is an enduro event, two fire extinguishers must be carried, along with a safety triangle and food bag. Drivers will draw a marble at scrutineering to determine start position in class order as per the ORANZ rule book. There will be no time trial. All late entries will be off the back off the field in class order. There will be food and drinks available to purchase at the track. EFTPOS available. Entrants will be allocated a 3m wide pit area, single vehicle width. All gazebos will need to be behind trailer, not beside. The Nelson club also recommends arm restraints or nets. Correct class sponsor and ORANZ signage is mandatory on all vehicles. No signage – no racing. This is a timed event with staggered starts for safety reasons. 2
Saturday 21st July 2018 8.30am Kiwi truck drivers briefing 8.45am Kiwi trucks race (30mins) 9:30am Drivers Briefing 9:45am Cars on Grid 10:00am Racing to Start. DAY 1 only: Once the checkered flag has dropped, drivers not on the lead lap have 25 minutes to start one more lap. After the 25 minutes the track will be closed and tail end Charlie will go out. If he passes you, you are deemed finish and your time will be taken from the previous lap. Finishing positions from day 1 will be start positions on day 2. Sunday 22nd July 2018 7.45am Kiwi trucks drivers briefing 8.00am Kiwi trucks race 8:30am Drivers briefing 9:00am Enduro racing to start. Day 2: Once the checkered flag has dropped the track is closed. Prizegiving Prizegiving will be held at Waimea Club, Lower Queen Street, Richmond, from 7pm. Reasonable priced meals are available in the bar/restaurant before prize giving starts. A light supper will be provided after prize giving. Please indicate on the entry form the amount of people that will be attending prizegiving to cater for the supper correctly. 3
Trophies There will be returnable and keeper trophies for 1st 2nd & 3rd overall. Keeper trophies for 1st in class only and certificates for all entries. Cost Entry fee for this event: $400.00 Kiwi trucks entry $50.00 Additional driver non ORANZ $10.00 per day (pay at registration) Entry is to be received by 4th July You will be considered entered when your entry form and payment have both been received. Remember late entries off the back so don’t be late entering!
