Snippets from Stewton
The night s are becoming light er and t here is t he promise of spring w it h w int er aconit es and snow drops ap-
pearing along with the occasional daffodil. After the winter break, we at St Andrew’s, having emerged from
our w inter hibernat ion, are now poised t o begin our act ivit ies here at St ew t on for 2020. This w ill commence

w it h t he re-st art ing of our popular Community Coffee Event s on February 25t h. These t ake place on t he 4
Tuesday of each mont h t hrough to November. They provide a relaxed space for people t o gat her and chat
over coffee (or t ea) and cake. People from t he w ider area t ake advant age of this facilit y especially as t he
church building is t he only communal meet ing place in t he village. It is a chance t o cat ch up w it h ot hers and
t o get updat es about t he three charit ies w e are enabled t o support w it h t hese events, or just t o sit quiet ly
and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Free refills and a take away cake service is also available! Why don’t
you come and t ry, you w ill be made very welcome?

The hect ic rest orat ion last year saw maint enance on the ancient building. It w as good t o see t hat it at t ract ed
a posit ive comment from a Brist ol stonemason w hen he visit ed on Christmas Day.
