What is the coolest thing about being in the military? I think the opportunities to travel are a really cool part of being in the military, but generally I have of JBER had so many amazing opportunities while being in the military. What are some of your daily duties? As an Air Force Manpower and Personnel Specialist, I check if members qualify for PCS, route PCS orders, and update records. Additionally, I am on the aircraft search and recovery team, a Physical Training Leader, and a section training manager. I am also an Army Military Mountaineer (level 1) and an Operation Colony Glacier mountain search and recovery member. What is your favorite thing about your job? I like helping people with their career, and meeting some of the Air Force’s amazing people and leaders. What fun things do you do outside of work? I enjoy hiking, CrossFit, triathlon training (running, biking, and swimming), and all around health and fitness. What did you do before joining the military? I was a firefighter for five years prior to joining the military, and would love to join a volunteer fire department again if I PCS to a place that has one nearby.
