A School is more than just a place where your child learns to write and count—it’s where they explore interests, develop friendships, and discover their unique talents. If you ask us what it is that we see in every child at Winstedt, in just one word, it would be “potential”. And it is this that drives us to do better, to push, to defy, to advocate and to stand firm in whom we believe—our students. Winstedt, in the words of a wise sage, is a story of the defeat of probability by the force of possibility. The soul of Winstedt dwells in the spirit of every one who enters. Winstedt is our students, our teachers, our therapists, our administrators, our custodians, and our parents. We will always be as great as the challenges we have the courage to undertake. And we are great! What we teach our children today, gives birth to tomorrow’s world. Sharon Solomon Founder. CEO.
e believe there are many paths to successful learning. We are here for the students who: • Shine in a small group, but get lost in a crowd. • Seem out-of-sync with peers, either academically or socially. • Excel in active environments with opportunities for creative expression. • Have shown anxiety or are reluctant about going to school. • Have been bullied, ostracised or left-out.
The Winstedt School is an internationally-recognised, mainstream school on a mission to redefine the possibilities of education for those who learn and think differently. “Our middle child suffered a brain injury as a 5 month old baby. He is now eight years old and has behavior and learning issues as a result of the accident. Although these issues present as very mild on the surface, he was rejected by 3 different International Schools. Then we found Winstedt. The school that gives hope to the families of children who need a little something different. Our son has been at Winstedt for almost 2 years now, where he is taught by some of Singapore’s finest teachers! Now look at our little boy! Winstedt has not only given him hope, but they have given him a future.” Parent of a Year 3 Student
e believe education should be relevant to the opportunities of today and tomorrow. The Winstedt School delivers a mainstream, British curriculum through multi-sensory lessons and personalised instruction.

e believe in the power of art in education. Art has the power to inspire and break down barriers. It can also provide an avenue for students to communicate and explore ideas. Integrated Arts & Specialist Classes Art-infused teaching focuses on conceptual integration – introducing and teaching concepts in different classes and subject areas. This method of teaching provides more than one viewpoint on a concept and allows students to access and understand ideas at a deeper level and through application. Winstedt subject specialists collaborate with classroom teachers to deliver integrated lessons that cut across disciplines for enhanced reinforcement of concepts and access to the varied learning styles among our students. “I think Winstedt is special because the teachers wouldn’t make you do something without you understanding it. Instead, they will figure out a way to teach you in a way you would understand and will make it as fun as possible while learning.” Year 5 Student

“We would like to thank each counselor at Winstedt who supported João on this journey. As parents we feel safe and supported by knowing that João has a team that looks after him so carefully. We are even happier to know that João Active Beyond started making friends, because we Learning Academics know that he often feels alone at school. We have noticed that every day João is more communicative and interested. We notice that he leaves school happily and that he likes therapies very much. Camps Students from Year 4 participate in whole-day, overnight or overseas camps to facilitate independence, problem solving and leadership development. Our students have ventured into the wilderness of Indonesia, the great outdoors of Singapore and the maze of natural coastal and secondary forests off the mainland. Camp dismisses the fancy gadgets and embraces important relationships - inter and intra-personal. Getting comfortable away from home and in touch with the outdoors requires more than physical exertion. It requires a high level of personal responsibility and thoughtfulness toward the group. Camp works toward increased independence and self-esteem whilst nature challenges students without keeping score.
The Winstedt School Campus To better serve the growing demand for our personalised teaching approach, The Winstedt School moved to a larger campus in early 2017. Our new campus provides a variety of indoor and outdoor artistic, athletic, and recreational spaces designed with our community in mind. More resources are added as the campus evolves.
