Team and Individual Show Jumping Competition Sunday 21st October 2018 Open to all Schools, Pony Clubs and Riding Clubs Fantastic Rosettes, Sashes and Prizes! At Crofton Manor Equestrian, Titchfield Road, Fareham, Hampshire, PO14 3EW Two rings of Show Jumping to include cross poles to open level competition Entries will be strictly limited and close on Wednesday 17th October. Ring One - Large Outdoor (starting at 9am) Times for all classes to be publicised on Friday 19th October on www.altonschool.co.uk Class 1 – 60 to 65cm Single Phase Jumping Single Phase Jumping- competitors jump the whole course, second half to be timed. Open to team and individuals. Team to consist of 4 members, best 3 scores to count. Rosettes to first six teams and individuals. Sashes and prizes in kind to the winners. Entry Fee: £ 15 per individual. £55 per team (to include individual entry) Class 2 - 70 cm Single Phase Jumping Single Phase Jumping- competitors jump the whole course, second half to be timed. Open to team and individuals. Team to consist of 4 members, best 3 scores to count. Rosettes to first six teams and individuals. Sashes and prizes in kind to the winners. Entry Fee: £ 15 per individual. £55 per team (to include individual entry) Class 3 - 80 cm Single Phase Jumping Single Phase Jumping- competitors jump the whole course, second half to be timed. Open to team and individuals. Team to consist of 4 members, best 3 scores to count. Rosettes to first six teams and individuals. Sashes and prizes in kind to the winners. Entry Fee: £ 15 per individual. £55 per team (to include individual entry) Class 4 - Accumulator Single round of fences with increasing difficulty 70cm – 85cm. Points will be scored for each fence. There will be an optional joker at the end of the course, which will be higher than the other fences. The winner will be the combination with the most points in the fastest time. Individuals only. Rosettes to 6th Place. Rug and Sash to the winner. Entry Fee £15 Class 5 - 90cm Single Phase Jumping Single Phase Jumping- competitors jump the whole course, second half to be timed. Open to team and individuals. Team to consist of 4 members, best 3 scores to count. Rosettes to first six teams and ndividuals. Sashes and prizes in kind to the winners. Ring Two - Small Outdoor School (starting at 9 am) Grassroots Jumping This ring is designed to encourage genuine novice competitors or those who are seeking to gain confidence and have a go! Competitors may not jump in both rings or be currently registered with BS. 30cm rule – competitors may not jump in classes 30cm below the height at which they have previously competed. Ponies 14.2hh and under. Guide times for all classes to be publicised on Friday 19th October on our website www.altonschool.co.uk Class 7 - Cross Poles/ 30cm jumping Competitors may be led or assisted. Class 11 - 55cm to 60cm Single Phase Jumping Single Phase Jumping- competitors jump the whole course, second half to be timed. Open to team and individuals. ACS GENERAL RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY PLEASE ALSO REFER TO BS GENERAL COMPETITION RULES 2016 By entering this event participants are deemed to have agreed to abide by these rules: 1.The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the organisers / instructors. 2. Participants, or their parents/guardians, must consider themselves competent to complete the activity for which they are entering. If the judge deems any rider or horse to be unsuitable or unsafe to participate they will be asked to leave immediately and no refund will be given. 3. Alton Convent School, their representatives or helpers do not accept liability for injury, damage or loss suffered by spectators, competitors, their horses, grooms, friends, vehicles or property however caused under any circumstances except proven negligence of the organisers. 4. Hard hats: Correctly fitting riding hat complying with current safety standards and safe footwear must be worn whilst mounted. Body protectors are strongly recommended for show jumping. 5. Horses must be 4 years old or over to be eligible to compete in ridden classes. Animals deemed to be sick or lame will not be allowed to compete or be ridden on the showground and a refund will not be given. Stallions are welcome provided they are displaying appropriate tail ribbons, are well behaved and not causing a nuisance or danger to other competitors or their horses. 6. We reserve the right to cancel or alter any part or the whole of the schedule at any time. Details given in the schedule are correct at time of printing but may subsequently be altered. 7. The judge’s decision is final. Any objections must be brought to the organiser’s attention on the day of competition and we will make every effort to resolve problems. Formal objections should be lodged with the secretary within 30 minutes of the incident accompanied by a £30 deposit. 8. In the event of insufficient entries some prizes may be withheld. 9. A vet’s or doctor’s certificate will be required for a refund of entry fees. Entries are non transferable. 10. If weather or ground conditions are poor it is the responsibility of competitors to confirm that events are running by ringing 07968 391493 or checking www.altonschool.co.uk the evening before or morning of the competition. Every effort will be made to reschedule, but in the event of a competition being cancelled, entry fees minus a small administration charge will be refunded. 11. It is the responsibility of all participants to clear up their rubbish and debris and leave the showground fit for grazing. Please do not leave your rubbish behind on the showground. 12. All dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. Owners who allow their dogs to run loose on the showground will be required to remove them from the premises immediately. 13. Please park carefully and with consideration for others. Please follow the instructions of parking attendants. Do not leave horses tied up unattended outside of lorries or trailers. Please clear up droppings, hay etc… from the parking area. 15. Entries must be received by the closing date and with correct payment. No telephone or email entries. Entries will be strictly limited. Late entries accepted if space permits at £3 extra per class. Alton School Special - A special award will be given to the best member of Alton Convent School in each class. Headmaster’s Prize - This will be awarded in each class for the combination of horse and rider deemed to jump the most stylish round.
