FAIR Phase-0 The exploration of the QCD phase diagram has started Successful run in March 2019 for Ag-Ag collisions at = 2.6 GeV. q 15 Billion Events in 30 days q RICH detector has been equipped with new photo camera using the CBM MAPMT and jointly developed read-out electronics. q Photon camera boosted the lepton pair detection capability by a factor ten. q First time dilepton pairs beyond 1 GeV invariant mass q Data can be used to study detector response in all details and to introduce it to the CBM performance studies 20.05.20 Joachim Stroth, Goethe Universität Frankfurt / GSI, C.B.M. Strategie 3
FAIR Phase-0 CBM time-of-flight (RPC) enables STAR FXT program 36 CBM RPC modules have been installed at the end-cap of the STAR detector. q Extends the Beam Energy Scan down in energy by run STAR in fix-target mode. q BESII running from Dec. 2019 – 20th of Mar. 2020 (corona break, restart planned for June). q Fixed target program completed, about 100 M events for each energy (7.7 GeV, 6.2 GeV, 5.2 GeV, 4.5 GeV, 3.9 GeV, 3.5 GeV). q System time resolution better than 85 ps, PID capability demonstrated. q Perfect test bed to study the detector performance 20.05.20 Joachim Stroth, Goethe Universität Frankfurt / GSI, C.B.M.
