HONOR GUARD MSgt Ellis Coley, Program Manager Bldg. 364 • Mon. - Fri. 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. DSN 468-9775 | 478-926-9775 Professional Pro ile: A1C Eyan Mark G. Samelo Place of Birth: Guam Air Force Experience: 2 years Unit of Assignment: 78 SFS What does being an Honor Guard member mean to you? A1C Eyan Mark G. Samelo The Honor Guard has shown me that the Air Force is more than an a organization. It gives me an opportunity to pay respects to those who served and are serving in the United States Air Force. How has the Honor Guard affected you? The Honor Guard has taught me how to present myself with the highest level of military discipline and that there are many things that I am capable of overcoming. What do you feel you have to offer the Honor Guard? I feel I have to offer the Honor Guard an Airman who could be an outstanding representation of not only Robins Air Force base, but as well as part of the military itself. What are your goals in the Air Force? My goals are to further my education in hopes to commission in the medical ield and to be the best Airman I can be. What is your favorite saying/motto? "God sends the most challenging tasks to those he feel is capable of accomplishing them." Who is the person you most respect and why? The people I pay most respects to are my older brothers Ermin and Ernie. They always used to say " you never know until you try." Both have always encouraged me to pursue things even though it is out of my comfort zone and I feel that it has really helped me become who I am today. Rank/Name: Shane C. Warren NF-3 Unit of Assignment: 78FSS FSK Marketing Job title: Media Specialist Place of birth/Hometown: April 8th 1985 Frankfurt Germany Air Force experience: Military Brat and Civilian Describe what you do for the Air Force mission. I oversee all of the digital media sites from the 78th Force Support Squadron such as the 78FSS Facebook pages as well as maintaining and building new and improved webpages, always making sure to stay up to date on the latest technologies and keeping the 78th FSS ahead of the curve. Some of you may see me at events doing Video and Photography or perhaps seen me brief at the Civilian and Military Newcomers orientations. What made you decide to work in the Air Force? I have always been affiliated with the military in some form of another, I was a military brat growing up going from base to base and after my father retired. I knew that I wanted to continue working with the military in one way or another, helping th military members and their families. I am very grateful I was able to pursue this goal with the 78 FSS Marketing Team and being able to be hands on with military families and members by keeping them informed and knowledgeable about what Robins has to offer and all the amazing programs we put on. What are your goals in the Air Force? To help out the Military members and their families, give them fun events to attend, listen to feedback, and seeing what kind of events would make their stay here at Robins even better then what it already is and just giving back. What is your favorite part about being a member of Team Robins? My Favorite part about being a member of Team Robins would have to be seeing all the excited people attending FSS events and knowing that we did an outstanding job to help liven up Robins AFB. What is your favorite saying/moto? “Never tell people how to do things. Tell them what to do and they will surprise you with their ingenuity.” General George S. Patton 30
