President’s Message Thank you for your interest in our 2019–2020 season. We hope you will join us for the wonderful programs beginning next October. Your orchestra will be led by exciting young guest conductors throughout the season, several of whom are vying for the Music Director’s position. We’ll welcome your participation as they show us their talent, so, please let us know what you think after each concert. Our 2019–2020 season has something for everyone, from the great classics, to a Christmas Pops and to another family concert in March. Another will feature two of New Brunswick’s emerging young artists and we have a very special concert in November, with one of Canada’s fastest rising stars, Jeremy Dutcher. To close the season, we celebrate the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth with performances of the Pastorale Symphony and his Violin Concerto with Martin Beaver as soloist. On our Virtuoso Series, our wonderful chamber orchestra, Camerata New Brunswick, will present two shows which will be performed in smaller venues outside the big cities. In October, Camerata NB will play in Rothesay, Dieppe, Shediac and Woodstock and in May, in Rothesay, Dieppe, Sussex and Fredericton. Of course, we will welcome back our very own Saint John String Quartet, Ventus Machina and Résonance to round out the Virtuoso Series. Buy 4 or more concerts from the Virtuoso and/or Bravo Series, and get our special subscription price of 15% off until the end of August. Come and hear our great orchestra and support our New Brunswick musicians. I look forward to seeing you at the Symphony. G.
