TEAM FORMATION FOR YOUTH SPORTS INCLEMENT WEATHER HOTLINE Teams will be formed based upon a request system and by the Every attempt will be made to allow practices and play games; however, Recreation Director. NEW—THURSDAY SUMMER CAMP! CAMPS Looking for fun activities for your children this summer? Send them to our Thursday Summer Camp! Kids ages 5-12 will participate in a variety of activities including age appropriate games, crafts, and water fun each Thursday morning followed by a trip to the Eaton Public Library (EPL) to enjoy their summer schedule of presentations, enjoy a movie, and to participate in their summer reading program! ADULT FITNESS Adult Fitness Information All fitness classes are held at the Eaton Recreation Center except for Pass Information Aquacise which is held at the Eaton High School Indoor Pool. YOUTH SPORTS Tiny Tots Tennis (ages 4-6) NEW! Eaton Junior Golf A fun introduction to tennis for Eaton’s tiny tots! We cover forehand, backhand, (ages 5-14) all volleys, and net shots. This class is very high energy with various drills and plenty of fun and games! You will be amazed at the progress made at this age. Letter from the Director Welcome to another beautiful summer in Eaton—personally my favorite season of the year! Summertime brings with it a renewed energy; the community is active and staying busy is effortless. Your Parks & Recreation team has been busy planning an entire summers For information regarding worth of programming for you and your family and we could not be more excited! Whether you are looking for swimming, sports, arts Recreation Department & crafts, golf, fitness, or camps, you are sure to find something for everyone. Make sure to check out our brand new Thursday Camp program Recreation Director on page 3. We have partnered with the Eaton Public Library to offer a program that should exercise the body and the mind. Kids ages 5-12 970-454-1070 or will participate in activities with the Rec Staff each morning then enjoy entertaining acts and participate in a reading program at the newly bkentfield@eatonco.org renovated library in the afternoon. Each week will bring with it a new theme, fun games and performances like no other! Do not miss out!!! 2015 Department Hours As always, youth sports will be popular. This year we have all of your favorites such as tennis, tee ball and coach pitch, but we are also Monday-Friday introducing new programs such as Junior Golf (pg. 6) which will be led and instructed by the pros at the Eaton Country Club. Speaking 8:00am-5:00pm of great instruction, what could be better than being coached by the best of the best during our Eaton High School youth sport camp series. Girls & boys basketball, along with volleyball are once again included, but we are very excited to introduce a youth football camp Weekend’s this year (pg. 7)! Dependent on fitness classes being held Nothing says summer more than the pool though. Swim lessons will be held all summer long at the Eaton High School Pool. All levels will be (See Fitness Schedule) offered and as always please never hesitate to ask us questions so that we can get your swimmer in training placed in the appropriate level. Our goal as a Recreation Department for this fine community is to provide quality programming for the whole family. We appreciate all of the support and value your feedback.
