It is important, once a schedule is set up that works for both your family and the teacher, that students regularly attend meetings with their Summer 2020 Boost teacher. • The general framework recommends students will be engaged in learning for approximately 2 to 3 hours per day. This will include time spent daily one-on-one with the teacher, in small groups, and in whole group. • Students will also have independent work provided by the teacher when not in direct contact with the teacher. For example, students will complete i-Ready during this independent work time. • Stay connected to the Summer Boost teacher and advocate for your child’s needs. • Reading at home: • Students are expected to read every day. • Encouragement and rewards for summer reading will be supported by the Suncoast Summer Reading Challenge. Teachers will provide information about how to participate.
