Giveaways including MFAC Swag, Concession Vouchers, Zipline tickets and more will occur throughout the day. Beginning at 4:00 PM, admission will be $2.00. (Season pass holders no charge). This includes admission to the Aquatic Center, unlimited use of the Kids Inflatable Area, and Soaring Eagle Zip Line Ride. Concessions will be open until 7:30 PM. Community Events FREE! MOORESVILLE FIREWORKS CELEBRATION July 4 (ALL AGES) Bring the whole family to Pioneer Park for this FREE community celebration. Music will begin at 6pm and concessions will be available throughout the evening. Fireworks will begin at dusk. FLAGTOWN 5K August 3 (ALL AGES) This 5k race takes place in gorgeous Pioneer Park and is loaded with family fun all race morning. Kick off the school year and race the Flag Town 5k. Proceeds benefit area scholarships for students planning a career in the health and wellness fields as well as additional philanthropic projects. Aquatic Center AQUATIC CENTER The Mooresville Family Aquatic Center has been the summer hot spot in Mooresville since 1989. Located in the beautiful Pioneer Park, it offers a heated main pool with diving board, 2-chute slide, and 150ft slide, heated zero-depth training pool, heated kiddie pool with mushroom, Splash Pad, concession stand and sun decks. The Aquatic Center is open from Saturday, May 25 – Sunday, August 4. Aquatic Center PRIVATE RENTALS AND BIRTHDAY PARTIES The Mooresville Family Aquatic Center is the perfect place to celebrate a birthday or special event. A variety of packages and rental options are available to meet your party needs. Rent the entire facility for a family reunion, scout gathering or corporate picnic. If you prefer, schedule a party and share the facility during open hours. RESERVATION REQUESTS All reservation requests must be submitted at least two weeks prior to your requested date. Reservation forms are available in the Park Office, Aquatic Center, and online. A $50 non-refundable deposit is due at the time of reservation. The balance is due one week prior to the event. Party and Pool Rental reservations begin April 1 with Summer registration. POOL RENTALS FOR GROUPS AND CORPORATE EVENTS Imagine having the main slide, shoot slide and diving board for your exclusive use. Simply choose a party package below and let us take care of the rest. Time Options: 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM or 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM Parties not available on Memorial Day (5/27) or 4th of July (7/4) Two chaperones will be allowed to enter for free into the facility, but food and other amenities are not included. (Adults guests cannot be substituted for child guest) Guests may provide their own cake from a retailer. Any other outside food and beverage, including coolers, are not allowed inside the facility Reservations may be made in person at the Park Office at least 2 weeks prior to the event. A $50 deposit is due at the time the reservation is made. All balances are due 1 week prior to the scheduled rental. Youth Recreation LITTLE TYKES PRESCHOOL CAMP (3Y - 5Y) Campers will develop new friendships, discover physical capabilities, explore the environment and learn cooperation and teamwork. Weekly activities will include games, arts and crafts, creative movement, and story time. A low counselor-child ratio is maintained to personalize the activities and to ensure safety so each child can grow into a healthy and happy camper while having a lot of FUN! All campers must be potty-trained. Camp meets daily at Shelter #4 in Pioneer Park. Please bring a water bottle daily. Fridays we will play in the Splash Pad or Kiddie Pool. Friday pickup is at the Aquatic Center. Location: Pioneer Park, Shelter 4 Instructor: Angie Payne, Preschool Coordinator Notes: Children must be potty-trained. Bring a water bottle daily. Youth Recreation SCHOOL-AGE SUMMER CAMP REGISTRATION AND POLICIES Deposits & Weekly Payments All School-Age Summer Camps utilize a deposit system for weekly enrollments. This enables campers to ‘reserve their spot’ each week they want to attend. A non-refundable, non- transferable deposit of $10 per child, per week of camp is required to secure your registration. The deposit will be applied toward the weekly camp fee. Deposits cannot be applied to daily rates. Daily camp registrations (available only at REC Camp) must be paid in full at the time of registration. Each week’s balance is due the Thursday prior to the start of the week. Balance payments must be paid in full before dropping off your child on Monday morning. NEW! Payments may be made online or at the Park Office. Transfer Policy - A transfer from one week to another is contingent upon the availability of spots within the desired week. Campers on the waiting list will be prioritized based upon the enrollment date of the transfer. Deposits are non-refundable, non-transferable and will be forfeited if changing weeks. REC Camp daily transfers will be charged a $5 transfer fee for each day and each child changed. Waitlist Policy - There is no fee to be placed on the waitlist. If a spot becomes available for a program, the participant or parent/guardian that is at the top of the waitlist will be contacted via telephone and/or email. The participant or parent/guardian will have 24 hours from the time of the call/email to respond to the Park Office. If a deposit is not made within the given timeline, the participant or parent/guardian next on the waitlist will be contacted via telephone and/or email. PIONEER ADVENTURE CAMP “PAC” (ENTERING K - 6TH GRADES) “PAC” is a recreational based summer camp for children entering Grades K-6 in the Fall. Camp is located in Pioneer Park with headquarters operating out of Shelter #7 by the soccer fields. An active daily schedule will allow each camper to experience crafts, nature activities, games and sports while enjoying different areas of the Park. This camp is perfect for kids that love the great outdoors. Campers are outside all-day, every day. In severe inclement weather, they will be indoors at the Park Office facility. Park Info RENTALS AND EVENTS IN THE PARKS Park shelters and designated areas within the parks are available to Brown Township residents, non-residents and organizations for reservation when not in conflict with public activities. All reservations must be made by the Park Office staff. Larger events may need to apply for a special event permit. Commercial profit-generating events are not permitted. A reservation does not allow for private use of the entire park since the parks are intended for the enjoyment of everyone; however, shelter rentals are available for private rental. Park restrooms are open from the 2nd week of April through the 1st week of November, weather permitting. *Restrooms located at Pioneer Park Shelter #7 (soccer fields) are heated and open year-round. Alcohol use is prohibited in all parks and shelters. All parks are tobacco-free. Playing fields are maintained and scheduled through contracted youth sport organizations. ARE YOU AWARE? Agencies around Indiana and beyond have been battling invasive species and the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) for almost a decade. Insects and diseases are always a constant threat to our community. The Mooresville Park District actively treats invasive species and has been working on eliminating Ash trees affected with EAB. Soaring Eagle Zip Line SOARING EAGLE ZIPLINE The Soaring Eagle Zip Line Ride is fun for all ages! Riders must be 42 inches tall to ride. Max. weight not to exceed 450 lbs. combined. REC&U Program REC&U BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM The goal of the REC&U program is to offer a safe, educational and recreational service to children K-6 before and after the regular school day. REC&U is offered on-site at the five Mooresville Elementary Schools (Neil Armstrong, Newby, North Madison, Northwood, and Waverly). Children must be registered for a consistent attendance plan. (Drop-in service is not permitted). Alternating schedules (ie MWF week 1, TR week 2) and occasional attendance is accepted, as long as a minimum of one week’s notice is given. Please note that one (1) full week notice is required for any attendance changes. REGISTRATION INFORMATION Registration must be done annually – including those previously enrolled in the program. Registration for the 2019-2020 school year will begin July 1. There is an annual $15 registration fee required of all participants. Registration Options: 1 – 2 Days Weekly (days must be specified) 3 – 5 Days Weekly (days must be specified) Initial registration must be done prior to the first week of school. All services require pre-registration. No same-day registrations or “drop-ins” are permitted. This new platform will allow us to offer a more convenient process for on-line registration for programs, classes, memberships, and Facility Reservations.
