STAFF DEVELOPMENT NEWSLETTER VOLUME 16: APRIL 2022 NEW HIRE SPOTLIGHT! MIKE MOYSEENKO Assistant Coach, Football Background: Mike is originally from Hagerstown, MD. Education: BS, Biology, Maryland University, '07. Coaching History: Most recently, Mike spent 4 seasons at UCONN spending the most time as the quarterbacks coach. Prior to UCONN, Mike coached at Towson University, Shepard University, and served as the offensive coordinator for the Baltimore Mariners. WISLY DESIRE Assistant Coach, Football Background: Wisly is originally from Jacksonville, FL. Education: BA, Sport Management, Jacksonville University, '13. MS, Sport Administration, Lock Haven University, '14. Coaching History: Prior to coming to Lehigh, Wisly served as an offensive line coach at Tusculum University, Florida International Universty, Monroe College, and Lock Haven University. HUNTER ENGLISH Assistant Coach, Football Background: Hunter is originally from Greensboro, NC. Education: BS, Psychology, AB, Sociology/Anthropology, BS, Criminal Justice, Guilford College, '15. Coaching History: After spending his first 2 seasons at Lehigh as the defensive quality control assistant, Hunter has transitioned into a defensive line coaching position. Prior to Lehigh, Hunter coached at his alma mater Guilford for 4 seasons. JOHN SIBEL Assistant Coach, Football John joined the Lehigh Football staff in August 2021 in an interim role, he has now transitioned to a full-time coaching position! STEPH PALMIERI Partnership Representative Education: BA, English, Lehigh University, '07. MA, Secondary Education, Lehigh University, '09. PhD, Media & Communication, Temple University, '17. Work History: Leading up to her return to Lehigh, Steph was an adjunct instructor at Temple University, the assistant director of the Lehigh Valley Summerbridge program, and has served as a assistant coach for the DeSales University Field Hockey team.

Potential to host if higher seeds: Men's Lacrosse: Quarterfinals - May 3 Implementation of Recruitment is underway for Semifinals - May 6; Finals - May 8 our coaching staff. The SA implementation (roster management, ticket lists, etc) will occur Women's Lacrosse: Quarterfinals - May 1 in early June for the 2022-2023 academic year. Semifinals - May 5; Finals - May 7 Softball: May 12-14 at the #1 seed You can get to the ARMS login here: http://www.lehighsports.com/arms Baseball: (best two-of-three series) Not sure if you will be needing to learn Semifinals - May 14-15 at top two highest ARMS, ask Julie Oltman or Taryn Gall seeds; Championship - May 20-22 at the Have ARMS specific help questions, search highest remaining seed here: http://help.armssoftware.com/ STAFF SPOTLIGHT: LAUREN CALABRESE WOMEN'S SOCCER HEAD COACH NICKNAME: Everyone calls me Cal HOMETOWN & WHAT ITS KNOWN FOR: I’m from Bethlehem, so that’s not too hard. Lehigh, Bethlehem Steel and all the other history here. HOW MANY YEARS AT LEHIGH: As a coach, I’ve been here six years. I was also here for four years as student-athletes and received two graduate degrees from Lehigh as well. FAVE MOMENT SO FAR AT LEHIGH: As a coach when we went to France in 2017, which was awesome. Playing in that environment and the history and connection was really cool. Aside from that there isn’t a particular moment, I just really enjoy the day to day of being a coach. FAVE LOCAL RESTAURANT: Molinari’s 3 FAMOUS/HISTORICAL PEOPLE YOU'D LIKE TO HAVE DINNER WITH: RBG, Audre Lorde, Jurgen Klopp, The Obamas HIDDEN TALENT: Growing up I played the Violin. I was also a pretty phenomenal rollerblader. I could even hit jumps and rails and stuff like that. FAVE NEW EXPERIENCE (PODCAST, VACATION, FOOD RECIPE): Love a good HIIT and row/cardio-boxing workout. Spending time with family is super important to me. I also enjoy reading and listening to podcasts--"This American Life" and "Pod Save America"" are go-tos for me. DIEAR UPDATE Staff Tide hosted its last educational conversation this month on Supporting Transgender Student-Athletes facilitated by Scott Burden and Ariel Torres from the Pride Center. We had 26 staff members participate in the discussion. CLICK HERE for the slides from the conversation! Overall, our participation numbers were up this semester and we are excited about the commitment people have made to learning and growing, while leading our teams and staff. We are also looking as a group on how we can grow and offer better opportunities for more staff to get engaged and learn even more. HOMETOWN & WHAT ITS KNOWN FOR: Bethlehem, PA - Bethlehem Steel, Christmas City, Musikfest and Liberty High School Grenadier Band. HOW MANY YEARS AT LEHIGH: 4 years, 5 seasons PROUDEST MOMENT SO FAR AT LEHIGH: I would say, just watching my programs grow. From an athletics standpoint and also a social media growth standpoint. The growth there has been great to see for example Baseball going from 800 to over 4000 followers on Instagram in just a couple years has been cool to see. The Men’s Soccer Patriot League Championship in 2019 in front of 1,700 people at Ulrich and the Women’s Basketball Patriot League Championship last year were both awesome as well. FAVE LOCAL RESTAURANT: The Flying V Poutinerie 3 FAMOUS/HISTORICAL PEOPLE YOU'D LIKE TO HAVE DINNER WITH: Harry Kalas, Former great play by play announcer with the Phillies. Jeff Gordon, NASCAR Driver. And my late mentor, Bruce Bowen. He was very instrumental in my faith growing up. He passed away in 2018. He was a huge Phillies and Penn State fan and took me to a bunch of games growing up. HIDDEN TALENT: I used to sing in a choir and also did theater in high school. I also sang in my high school's chorus, but the only singing that takes place these days is in the shower. FAVE NEW EXPERIENCE (PODCAST, VACATION, FOOD RECIPE): Right now, I am watching "This Is Us." I love that show and there are only four episodes left of the series. My wife and I are also watching "All American" and "Good Trouble" together. I am a huge baseball fan, so Jomboy Media's "Talkin' Baseball" is one podcast that I listen to a lot.
