Sports Directory 2021 It is vital that we have parental and community involvement in coaching and managing teams. The registration forms for each sport provides space for you to indicate your availability to assist in our programme. Alternatively, please contact our sports department. All coaches and managers will be asked to complete a Police Vetting Form as required.
Sign Ups, Fees and Registration Key Dates All registration forms and payment details can be found under the Extra-Curricular tab of the school website. Term 1 Registration forms must be completed for students wishing to play 9th February Deadline for all summer sports payments sport either competitively or socially, and these, alongside the and registrations. Term 3 Registration fees assist with the cost of equipment, uniform 19th July Winter sport continues replacement, first aid, competition entry fees, compulsory official’s fees, 30thAugust – 3rd School Sport NZ Winter Tournament week transport and administration. 10 NZD of each payment is put into the September sports general budget for sports prizegiving and administrative costs. Term 4 Additionally, fundraising is encouraged to be undertaken by all teams involved in exchanges and tournaments to help reduce the costs of 11th October Summer sport begins these tournaments to families. ATHLETICS Sports Directory Description Students follow their own training programmes but have the opportunity to be involved and selected for a number of 2021 events throughout the year. DRAGON BOATING FLOORBALL Description Description Open to year 11, 12 and 13 students. 8 training sessions Floorball (like indoor hockey) is open to all students to make plus two events. ROWING RUGBY 7’s Description Description Runs between August and the end of March. This takes place after the main rugby union season (end of term 3/start of term 4). Training Training will be held twice weekly An intense training schedule involving 6 trainings a week. Trials Times are allocated by the rowing club.
