President’s Message one feel very proud being a Rotarian. Our Club has been organizing events with Sava Bharti. But this year was a special one. On the auspicious day of Basant Panchami, Samuhik Vihah for ten couples was organized in the presence of huge number of people. It was really a great event. Our Club gave gifts worth Rs. 51,000 each to all the ten couples. Again, many members of our club participated by donating items of daily use in large numbers exhibiting a true spirit of giving back to the society. My visit to the Sparsh was a special one this month. I am happy to inform you that Ms. Aditi who went for a kidney transplant is recovering well and another child, Darsh will be going for transplant next week. Our good wishes and blessing to both of them and My Dear Sothend Family, also all the members of Sparsh who are looking after I feel very proud being a President of RCDS, especially children so well. Lohri Party Wednesday, 12th January, 2020 Sunday-Lohri Do-Seema and Munish Gupta. They graciously agreed to host Lohri Function at their Farm. Beautiful decorations in colourful pink, yellow, green, orange were spread over lush, green lawns-where all members lounged comfortably. Freshly made Sugarcane Juice was a hit, as were traditional Gajjak, Rewri. The Burly Bhangra Singers and Dancers regaled Rotarians- with their Punjabi songs and dholak beats. All merrily danced away. Lunch cuisine ordered from Asian Haus, was a fabulous spread, finally ending with return gifts of assorted nuts. The bonding on Lohri was a"feel good." Polio Rally on National Immunization Day Saturday, 18th January, 2020 Our Club participated in Polio Rally to create awareness for National Immunization Day with other clubs of our District 3011. Rotarians from 6 countries also participated in the rally. As we all know India has been declared Polio free for the last many years. But since some cases of Polio were reported in Pakistan and in Afghanistan in 2019, we are still giving polio drops to our children and creating awareness.
Pulse Polio Day Sunday, 19th January 2020 Our Club organized three camps at Delhi Cantonment General Hospital, Uttam Nagar and Gola Dairy and gave Polio Drops to 423 children who braved the cold and visited our camps.
Community Service Project at "The Earth Saviors Foundation" Sunday, 19th January 2020 (Old Age Home.) Our Group, with continual guidance of R'anne Sudha Gandhi, (January Month Leader) got assorted items of crockery, cutlery, consumer perishable goods, blankets, and much more. We all went to meet Ravi Kalra, and were amazed at his good work going there. It was an eye opener when we spoke to residents there, and one felt only compassion, seeing the homeless being uplifted- and given so much security at this Home. We should give Old Age Home, a further boost in coming months. Commendable effort by our team.
Visit to Parivartan School Friday, 28th January, 2020 The school is making all of the above. If any Rotarian wants any of the above things this could be bought from them. We will be doing a community project in their school in the month of February.
Community Service Project "Samuhik Vivah" Thursday, 30th January 2020 (Shiv Mandir, Pushp Vihar). Rotarians gathered in strength, to bless 10 young women and men. And we all put in a beautiful stock of necessary household items, and wedding clothes, to uplift the young couples. Needless to say, it was a happy occasion and may these couples stay happy and create self sufficiency in their lives, after our back up.
Skill Development Centre A new beginning! Our Associates who are handling Skill Development Center have received their first achievement as Learnet Skills Limited (formerly IL&FS Skills Development Corporation Ltd). Recognized with Skoch Award - 'Gold' in Vocational Skill Training for Unemployed Youth Leading to Employment across 22 states and Skoch Award - ' Silver' in Imparting Standardised Skill Training for Trainers. Our President Rtn Hemant Bhasin spent time with each SMO and gave them guidance. He also spends regular time with other students in Welding, CNC and F&B Classes.

The January Experience I am amazed by the energies of monthly leader Rtn. Shiv Gandhi and R’anne Sudha ji. Despite being under the weather and not being well, both of them had exhibited true leadership qualities and organized fabulas events in the month of January. Not only they were true motivators but great administrators. The events were well planned, well attended and appreciated. It is my submission to the club to please motivate them to take up leadership role in the club in the time to come. Both of them have to lead our club soon. By now our Rtn Promila ji has become a professional in getting people married. On 30th January on the auspicious day of Basant Panchami she took the leadership role on behalf our Club and in collaboration with Seva Bharti got 10 couples married under “Samuhik Vivaha”. My sincere thanks to all the members who participated in large numbers in making all the events successful in line with Rotary principals. On behalf of the entire club my heartiest congratulations to our new member Ms. Divya Ohri who has joined our club after completing mandatory attendance not three but four club events. ROTARACT CLUB OF GALGOTIAS EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS The meeting on 29th January was held regarding the event of 2nd Feb to be held at India Gate in order to support the cancer victims and survivors. The event is none other than *CAN SUPPORT : WALK FOR LIFE* will be on a large scale and hence needed a lot of volunteers.
