Safety & Security Hurricane Season is here Hurricane season runs June 1 to November 30, with the peak time occurring between mid-August and late October. Are you and your family prepared? Now is the Donn Aikins, time to build or restock your basic disaster supplies kit Chief of Security to include a flashlight, batteries, chargers, cash, first aid supplies, medications, and copies of your critical information if you need to evacuate. Do you have a plan if you lose power for several days? Be sure to supply your family with enough non-perishable food and water for at least three days. Important to know Kings Point information None of the clubhouses within Kings Point are hurricane shelters. Security Officers will not respond to calls when winds reach 30 miles per hour. In a storm, gates will remain manned unless wind speed reaches 35 miles per hour. Should wind speeds reach 35 miles per hour, both front and south gates will remain open, but unmanned for the safety of our security officers. Security will not be allowed to pick up or move residents in or around the community. Transportation Who Says There’s No Free Ride? All Kings Point residents are eligible to ride Hart Line Bus Route 75LX Hart Line Bus Service free of charge just by showing your Kings Point badge. Kings Point Tram services to every resident and house guest! KP Tram Services REMINDER! If using the tram from the clubhouse, transportation office MUST be notified before quarter-past the hour and you must be present in the foyer by 25 minutes past the hour. Passengers must be waiting in front of their homes ready to board the tram upon arrival. Drivers are prohibited from assisting passengers when boarding and exiting the vehicle. If a resident has difficulty boarding or exiting the vehicle, a Kings Point resident or lessee escort must accompany and assist the resident. Drivers are not permitted to assist passengers with groceries, shopping bags or other packages *Two Bag Maximum* and walkers. Internal Tram Service: Monday-Friday on the half-hour Shuttles residents, lessees and their guests to ALL locations within Kings Point. If you want to attend an event at the North Clubhouse, South Clubhouse, 2020 Centre community pool or you simply want to visit a friend, call 387-3470. External Tram Service: Monday-Friday on the hour Shuttles make more than 20 stops at local shopping centers, doctors’ offices, and the hospital. Class includes treading, stroking, pad- dling, pedaling, etc. 45 Min AQUAFIT-Indoor shallow class including cardio and toning for a total body workout. Great for all fitness levels and abilities. 50 Min STRETCH-N-SCULPT–Helps improve flexibility and increase range-of-motion while toning all muscle groups. 50 Min JOINT EFFORT-Emphasizes range-of-motion activities that include gentle strengthening and fitness exercises. Suitable for those limited by impaired joint ability. Indoors 50 Min WATER WALKING–Walking in the pool with hand water weights doing various movements with the body to get a great stretch followed by a lite jog. 50 Min DOUBLE NOODLE WEDNESDAYS–Start with 2 noodles for a great total body workout finishing with 1 noodle and a set of hand water weights. 50 Min Outside AQUA RESISTANCE-Total body workout using a set of water weights for resistance to the upper body and 1 noodle for re- sistance to the lower body. Outside ARTHRITIS BODY CONDITIONING-Activities and exercises to improve balance, posture, muscular strength, endurance and flexibility, manage pain and help with symptoms of Arthritis and Parkinson’s.
