Shamrock Springs Elementary School January 31, 2020 Mr. Hedges's Happenings.... Shamrock Families! It's hard to believe that January is almost over! Today, our fourth grade teachers and students enjoyed Pioneer Day! They were able to dress in period costumes, sew, play games and churn butter! They also learned some pioneer dances and were able to share those with the entire SSES student body. It was great to see our Shamrock family supporting one another! Well done fourth grade! As we head into a new week, please keep in mind these things: We have seen a rise in tardies and absences here at SSES. Please make sure that if your child is tardy/leaves early or is absent due to a medical appointment or if they have been ill and see a doctor; request a doctors note . Doctors note can be returned to the school o ce. And make sure with the rise of illness that we have seen, remind your student of the importance of good hand-washing techniques to help us limit the spread of germs. Wondering what time your student has lunch? Please note that at the bottom of every newsletter, grade level lunch times are posted. Looking forward to a great February! Robert D. Hedges Principal-Shamrock Springs Elementary Nurse's Notes! I hope this letter nds you all well! We have had several students out this week ill. Common culprits include stomach u, strep throat, and u as well as a modge podge of other complaints including stomach aches and headaches. Please continue to encourage your student to perform good hand hygiene, cover their cough and sneezes! There has been lots of media coverage concerning the Coronavirus, the CDC is a good
