3 11th Annual Golf Outing September 17th This is a Major Fundraiser for our Center Here’s how you can help: Last year’s outing was a tremendous success, due in large part to the generosity of our participants who donated gift baskets and gift cards for our Silent Auction. We are once again seeking your support. Put together a gift basket, money tree, lottery ticket tree, etc. Gift cards (especially from restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations) are also popular as even small amounts can be combined or added to items to increase the value of a gift basket. Please have your donation at the Center by September 10th See Paula or Joan for more information. Rory Demmer, AAMS® Financial Advisor 325A S. 15 Paula Hader, Executive Director Joan Adler, Administrative Assistant A message from the Executive Director Hello September! The summer months have flown by for many of us as the Center is back up to the robust attendance levels that we had prior to the pandemic - with even greater attendance for some activities! As a participant-driven fundraiser, many Center participants/volunteers ran a Sendik’s Community Grill Event on Saturday, August 7, 2021. Total food sales PLUS donations received totaled $443! Way to go everybody! Your time, talent, energy and enthusiasm brought additional monies directly to the Center as well as more visibility to the community. Pictured below, other Center participants/volunteers were selling car raffle tickets in the Sendik’s parking lot. Truly a team effort and despite the humid weather, we all had a lot of fun! Below on the far right is Center participant and super volunteer, Jim Derse at Ozaukee County Fair in late July 2021. Jim has been spending many hours at the various area County fairs selling car raffle tick- ets for this collaborative fundraiser on behalf of the Senior Center and the West Bend Sunrise Rotary. Stay tuned for more exciting events in October such as our Center’s volunteer art instructors who plan to display and sell their very unique creations and donate a portion of their profits to the Senior Center. Many thanks for sharing your talents and treasures to benefit this
