From leisurely walks to a sprint down the track, birdwatching, shaded playgrounds, athletic leagues, tennis, basketball and much more. Experience Weston @Play! Enjoy Weston’s parks all year. Fixit Bike Repair Stations The Fixit stations have all of the tools needed to perform on basic bike repairs, from changing a fat tire to adjusting brakes and derailleurs. Stations are located in the following parks: Emerald Estates, Gator Run, Indian Trace, Library Park, Peace Mound and Weston Regional. Severe Weather Warning System Weston’s largest athletic parks – Weston Regional, Tequesta Trace and Vista Park – are equipped with lightning detection meters to advise park visitors when lightning threatens the area. A loud siren will alert park visitors to seek shelter immediately. An “all clear” signal (three consecutive alarms) will sound when conditions improve and activities are clear to resume Hand Sanitizer and Sunscreen Stations Here’s a park perk for you! Weston Parks has added stations with hand sanitizer and sunscreen to some of our parks in high traffc areas. While we encourage you to bring your own, we have you covered if you forget to bring your own. Park Shelter Rentals Park shelters are available to rent at Emerald Estates and Weston Regional Park. See page 16 for details. 4

The center features 15 Har-Tru clay courts, one championship hard court, four pickleball courts and two padel courts (coming soon), along with newly renovated locker and shower facilities and a Pro Shop. Membership Enjoy access to the courts year-round. Contact the center to learn all the benefts membership has to offer. Established in 2002, the Arts Council of Greater Weston is an independent not-for-proft corporation comprised of elected board members representing varied backgrounds within the City of Weston. The Arts Council of Greater Weston assists the City of Weston by reviewing requests for the City to participate as a sponsor or provide venues for arts and cultural events in Weston. C OMMUNITY C ENTER G ENERAL I NFORMATION The Weston Community Center serves as the center of operations for the City’s Parks and Recreation Department (also known as Weston Parks.) The Community Center is usually host to a variety of programs for all ages throughout the year; however, due to Covid-19, the indoor classes have been postponed and room rentals are currently on hold until further notice. Details on room rentals (once they are available) can be found on page 16. Weston Parks maintains and operates 15 park and recreation facilities – offering an array of amenities for active or passive play and relaxation. COVID-19 Impact on Operations Hours of operation and City administrative policies for in person activities may vary due to COVID-19. Photo Policy A participant of a class or attendee of a special event may be subject to being photographed by the City of Weston. U.S. Flag Disposal Bin When a fag is worn, tattered, ripped or soiled beyond repair, it is no longer ft to serve as a symbol of our country and should be retired and disposed of properly. Residents can dispose of old, tattered and torn U.S. fags in the marked bin located just outside the Weston Community Center. Flags should be folded appropriately before they are turned in. 14
C OMMUNITY C ENTER P ROGRAMMING Schedules A variety of classes for all ages – from toddlers to active older adults – are typically offered year-round. Classes are not currently being offered due to COVID-19; however, staff is working to resume active programs as soon as possible. Should classes resume during the Fall season, details will be available at WestonFL.org/Parks/CommunityCenter. Age Requirements Age requirements are established to safely facilitate age appropriate activities in classes. Participants must be of the appropriate age prior to the frst day of class in order to participate. Enrollment Capacity Each class has a minimum and maximum enrollment. Classes may be canceled if minimum enrollment is not met. CLASSES AND PROGRAMS When classes and programs resume at the Community Center, the list of classes will be available online. Registration will also be done online using our new RecDesk system (see page 16 for details) or in person at the Community Center. R ENTAL I NFORMATION The City of Weston is currently offering rentals of park shelters at Emerald Estates Park and Weston Regional Park. Due to COVID-19, rentals of the multipurpose rooms at the Community Center are on hold; however, the information below will apply once room rentals resume. Community Center Room Rentals Rooms are available for rental at the Community Center for private parties and other small functions. Available on Saturdays only, rented on an hourly basis. The multipurpose room is divided into three sections and can be rented out in different confgurations: • Entire room .....................................................................................$150 per hour plus applicable tax • Two-thirds of room..........................................................................$100 per hour plus applicable tax • One-third of room ..........................................................................$ 50 per hour plus applicable tax Hourly fee plus Damage Deposit of $100 per room. Rentals include the use of tables (6’ long or 60” round) and chairs. Kitchen facilities are not available. Caterers have access to a room for equipment and food preparation. Due to Covid-19, room rentals are not available. Please contact the Community Center at 954-389-4321 for further updates. Shelter Reservations Park shelters are available to rent at Emerald Estates Park and Weston Regional Park. Shelters are covered and have picnic tables, access to electricity (110V), a charcoal grill and water. Suggested capacity is 30 people. • $75 plus tax for full day, 8 a.m. – 9 p.m. Verify availability and make your reservation online. (See below.) NEW ONLINE RESERVATION/ REGISTRATION SYSTEM Weston Parks now offers an online registration portal (RecDesk). This system allows registered users to reserve shelters (and eventually community center rooms) and to register for programs and classes as they are available. The online registration system includes a secure online payment portal. View the tutorial videos online to learn how to create your account, reserve a facility or enroll in a program.
