Answer these questions: Q1. Who were hunter gatherers? Ans. The early humans who wandered from one place to another in search of food were called hunter gatherers or nomads. Q2. Why did early humans begin to settle down in village community? Ans. After learning farming early humans had to stay at one place for a long period of time to grow and harvest crops. This led to the settling down of the early humans in village community. Q3. How did the tools help the early humans? Ans. The tools helped the early humans in – -hunting animals. -protecting themselves. -growing crops. Q4. What do you know about the food habits of the early humans? Ans. The early humans collected wild berries, fruits, roots, insects and worms and ate them. They also ate the flesh of animals. Q5. What is the Stone Age? Ans. The Stone Age is the period of human culture when stone tools were first used. Q6.How did the discovery of fire help early humans? Ans. Discovery of fire helped early humans in many ways. They- -started cooking food on fire. -kept themselves warm by lighting fire. -drove the wild animals away by keeping a fire burning at the entrance of their Caves Q7. Where did early humans live? Ans. Early humans lived in natural shelters such as caves, trees and groves.

Shoaib’s teachers knew that he was basically a good student. They encouraged Shoaib and his friends to take part in the competition to help him gain his focus again. (iii) Write any three qualities of a good friend. Ans.1. A good friend stops you from doing something wrong. 2. A good friend helps you in leaving your bad habits. 3.
