S Dear SPASH Families: I hope this newsletter finds you and your family healthy and doing well. This year has challenged all of us and I am proud of how our students and staff have worked through the first semester. It feels good to know that we are now one full week into the second semester and welcomed over 200 students back into the building from first semester flexible E-learning. Please know that we eagerly look forward to being able to have all of our students at school every day again and in the meantime will con- tinue to work hard to ensure that everyone in our building properly wears a mask, frequently sanitizes their hands, and practices social distancing as much as possible. We will begin student registration and course selection for the 2021-2022 school year this week. Students will receive all materials in their Advisory and any OLC students will receive the materials in the mail. Students will then have two weeks to identify their choices for next year and will then submit their registration to their counselors the week of February 15-19. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your school counselor with any questions or for assistance with this process. You can also access Registration Information and Materials at this link on our Counseling office webpage. All juniors in Wisconsin will be taking the ACT+ Writing on Tuesday, March 9, 2021. On that day all SPASH juniors will complete the ACT at SPASH and all sophomores and seniors will have an e-learning day. All students and families will receive more specific information about our schedule during the ACT later in February as we get closer to the day of the test and field trip. Parents of seniors: Graduation will be here before you know it! SPASH Graduation 2021 will be on Sun- day, May 30th. At this time we are still uncertain of the exact type and location of ceremony that we will be able to have. However, please know that we are planning accordingly and will communicate details and information with you as soon as we can responsibly do so. You will receive a special newsletter around May 1 with all of the information that you will need to prepare for graduation. Please be reminded that students must complete all graduation requirements by May 27, 2021 and have a cap and gown to par- ticipate in the ceremony. Again, thank you for your support and engagement in your student’s journey at SPASH. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
