PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE AS WE ENTER THE FINAL WEEKS of the school year, we also approach final exams. STUDENT SERVICES LEOPARD STASH EXPANSION EHS SUMMER SUPPORT 2018 The Leopard Stash expansion should be complete this week. The Pantry The Leopard Stash, Clothing Boutique, Hygiene Closet, and Washrooms will more than double in size, have a new freezer, and hot water for soup will be open this summer for student and family shopping and use every and oatmeal, and perhaps a third refrigerator. We will use this to provide fresh fruit and milk for kids everyday in the Stash. The grant was written by East High neighbors Bob and Sue Moore. STUDENT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY The Leopard Stash needs 1-2 more volunteers for every shift in May (7:15-7:40 and 2:30-3:00). Students should contact Kris Barta in Student Services to sign up!

ATHLETICS BOY’S BASKETBALL 2018 EAST HIGH BASKETBALL CAMP Send your son or daughter, grades 3-12, to East High Basketball Camp to learn basketball skills the right way from experienced coaches! Mitch Smith and our great EHS basketball coaching staff will help your kids learn the basics and improve their skills. All abilities are welcome. STUDENT GOVERNMENT STUDENT GOVERNMENT ACTIVITIES 2018-19 STUDENT GOVERNMENT OFFICERS The month of April was packed with activities and seemed to fly by. Prom STUDENT BODY OFFICERS: was a HUGE success on April 7 at the Event Center. The tickets were President: Chase Peterson amazingly affordable ($5 each), the venue was spot on, the dance floor was Vice President: Apu Ika packed all night, we had transportation to and from the dance, awesome Secretary: Michael Haggard chaperones watched over us, and EVERYONE had a great time! Thanks to Historian: Lizzy Porter all who helped to put this successful event together! Business Manager: Thomas Stewart Publicity Director: Kate Christensen Spirit Week was April 16 thru April 20. Students dressed up to show their Assembly Chair: Luke Boyden support and their class spirit. Monday – pajama day, Tuesday – clone day, Women’s Activity Chair: Charlie Barta Wednesday – light vs. dark, Thursday – Star Wars day, Friday – class colors. Men’s Activity Chair: Dalton Hoopes On Monday the cheerleaders and football team hosted a carnival, Diversity Chairs: Mya Johnson, Mauricio Garcia Wednesday night we had an indoor movie night, and Friday was the Spirit Spirit Master: Estelle Robbins Bowl. Congratulations to the Juniors who won the Spirit Bowl! It was a very spirited week! CLASS OFFICERS: SENIOR CLASS Student Government Elections were also taking place last month. We had President: Jack Perry several qualified students running for only a very few spots. Nice job and Vice President: Jackie Arellan good effort to all our candidates. It was a very tight race.
