March 24, 2021 2021 Newsletter - First Quarter Rockingham County Commissioner’s Letter Spring is just around the corner and Winter is beginning to slowly be in the rear-view mirror. I am excited to see more sunshine and longer daylight, flowers and trees blossoming with new life, and the warmer temperatures allowing us to be outside enjoying the fresh air. Make no mistake, we all have seen what the last year has brought with the Covid -19 virus. Social Distancing (no more hugs or handshakes), wearing masks that hide smiling faces, fear of the unknown and not being able to visit our loved ones. We have learned a lot from these life changes. But just like the four seasons, we are on our way forward and we are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Soon, we will be getting back to life as we once have known or as close as possible. I want to first thank all the staff here at the County for your hard work and dedication over the last year.
