parade facts Riverside County Invites You To Participate In the 2022 Presidents’ Day Parade! ENTRIES : Fill Out and Return The Completed Entry Form Today. Staging Area Information Will Be Sent To Accepted Entries 10 Days Prior To The Parade. Entries Must Be Received By February 7, 2022 To Be Considered For The Parade. Submission Of Application Does Not Constitue Acceptance. FLOATS : All Floats Must Be Self-Propelled. Please Provide A Sketch And Proof Of Insurance When You Send In Your Application. Incomplete Applications Will Not Be Considered Until Complete. Float Judging Will Be Based Upon Execution Of Theme, Originality Of Design, And Spectator Appeal. All Decorations Must Be Fire Retardent And Be Available For Inspection By The Riverside County Fire Department Prior To The Start Of The Parade. Judging Will Be Conducted By A Professional Parade Judging Association. All Decisions Made By The Judges Are Final. Standard Parade Rules Apply. rules : BY FILLING OUT AND SUBMITTING THE APPLICATION YOU AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING RULES: 1. All Participants Must Be Uniformed, Costumed, And / Or Appropriately Attired. 2. All Entries Should Have A Positive Theme Which Respects Diversity, Is Non-Controversial, And Does Not Advocate Any Political Any Political Candidate, Proposition, And / or Position. 3. All Entries In The Parade Must Be Approved By The Parade Committee. Any Deviation From The Rules Must Be Approved Prior To Acceptance Of The Parade Application. 4. All Decisions Made By The Parade Committee Are Final! 5. The Parade Will Start Promptly At 9:00 AM. 6. The Parade Accepts No Responsibility For Any False Statements Made By A Parade Participant. 7. Forward Motion Must Be Maintained Throughout The Parade Route. Stopping To Perform At Any Time Is Prohibited! 8. All Sound Equipment Used Must Be Self-Propelled. Vehicles Are Not Allowed In The Parade For The Purpose Of Being Used As A Music Platform. 9. No One Under The Age of eight ( 8 ) Will Be Permitted To March In The Parade Without Prior Approval from The Parade Committee. 10. All Entries Must Fit A Classification Offered. 11. All Decorations Used Must Be Fireproof And / Or Fire Retardent. 12. All Entries are Encouraged To Carry An Identification Banner For Their Unit. 13. At No Time Is Anything Allowed To Be Thrown or Handed Out Along The Parade Route. 14. All Equestrian Units Are Required To Pick Up After Their Horses, Both In The Formation / Disbanding Areas And While On The Parade Route. Units Who Are Not Prepared To FulFill This Requirement Will Not Be Allowed On The Parade Route And Could Be Banned From Participating In This Parade In The Future. 15. The Parade Committee Accepts Entries Based Upon The Information Submitted On The Application. No Changes To Any Entry Will Be Allowed Once Submitted And Accepted, Without Committee Approval. 16. No Firearms, Sirens, Or Loud Noises That Interfere With Other Units Are Allowed. 17. Categories Are Limited To A Maximum of 5 Entries (Exempt Bands & JROTC’s). Once A Category Is Full, Additional Entrants Will Be Notified And May Request To Be Put On A Waiting List In Case Of Cancellation. 18. Applications Must Be Submitted in Full, Including Script and Insurance ( If Required ) By The Deadline Of February 7, 2022 In Order To Be Considered For Acceptance Into The Parade. 19. Any Violation Of These Rules May Lead To Acceptance Being Revoked, And / Or Removal and Disqualification From The Parade. 20. An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. By participating in this event, all persons voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
