COVID 19 CONSIDERATIONS JUDGE REPLACEMENT If any of our adjudicators' states go into a lockdown (preventing their travel), the following steps will be taken: To allow for possible Covid restrictions, the following back up plans are in place: • If there is more than 24 hours notice, where possible the adjudicator(s) will be replaced from a Covid safe State within Australia. HAWKINS THEATRE RAY SMALL DRIVE, PAPAKURA, AUCKLAND This year we return to South Auckland and the home of our first event back in 2015. This beautiful venue has….. ✓ A large wooden stage and great lighting. ✓ Comfortable seating with cup holders for 260, wheelchair access and ample parking. ✓ Spacious modern foyer for vendors, 2nd hand tables for costumes and shoes. ✓ Practice area upstairs in the Green Room behind the stage. ✓ A great selection of food available from the start of both days until results both evenings. ✓ A licensed bar which will be open from 2pm each day. ✓ A room available with beverages and food throughout the event for teachers and officials. Please note - NO HARD SHOES can be worn in the foyer. 4
ENTRY FEES & SYLLABUS FOR BEGINNERS & NOVICE $10 per dance, 1 judge: Single Reel (122-124 bpm) Single Slip Jig (124 bpm) BEGINNER Rounds. Single Jig (124 bpm) Dancers in their 1st year of competition only. Trad Heavy Jig (96 bpm) Doing single timing, basic steps. Trad Hornpipe (144bpm) Choice of Traditional Set $10 per dance, 1 judge: City of Sails Special - $15, 2 judges: Light Jig (116 bpm) Light Jig (116 bpm) Single Slip Jig (124 bpm) • Novices must wear a beginner level or school costume as per CLRG rules. Single Jig (124 bpm) • All dances are 40 bars. • Age groups will be spilt once entries are received but will have no less than 5 dancers City of Sails Special - $15, 2 judges: in a group. Single Reel (122-124 bpm) • This section will be danced with Beginners, with results given separately for each dance and grade. • Beginners must wear a beginner level or school costume as per CLRG rules. • These dancers can also enter the Primary rounds. • All dances are 40 bars. • Age groups will be spilt once entries are received but will have no less than 5 dancers in a group. ENTRY FEES & SYLLABUS FOR PRIMARY & INTERMEDIATE PRIMARY Rounds. Dancers who are heading to their first Nationals this year, doing basic open work. INTERMEDIATE PREMIERSHIP - $45, 2 judges: Under 9 age groups as per 2021 TIDANZ Nationals Syllabus $10 per dance, 1 judge: Under 10 and over: Under 9 age groups as per 2021 TIDANZ Nationals Syllabus Reel or Slip Jig Under 10 and over: Jig or Hornpipe Reel or Slip Jig Choice of Set Jig or Hornpipe • This section will be danced with Primary, with overall results given for Intermediate separately to the Primary results. City of Sails Special - $15, 2 judges: • Age groups to be spilt once entries are received but will have no less than 5 Under 9 age groups as per 2021 TIDANZ Nationals Syllabus dancers in a group. ENTRY FEES & SYLLABUS FOR OPEN & ADULT B OPEN Championship. ADULT B - $75, 3 Judges: OPEN - $75, 3 Judges: Reel or Slip Jig (open length) Under 9 age groups as per 2021 TIDA NZ Nationals Syllabus Jig or Hornpipe (32 bars) Under 10 and over: Reel or Slip Jig Choice of Trad Set Jig or Hornpipe Choice of Set • These dancers can also enter Intermediate for an additional $35 • Single Age Groups starting at the Under 10 age group upwards. • However, if there are less than 5 dancers entered for an age group, they will be combined up or down to a double age group. ADULT B Championship • 17 & Over is likely to be the oldest age group. ENTRY FEES & SYLLABUS FOR ADULT A & TEAMS COSTS FOR VENUE & PROGRAM Teams - $8 per dancer per dance – 3 judges Adult A Rounds. 4, 6 & 8 Hand Commission Book Ceili’s.
