As such, we need everyone involved to work together and follow our directives. ENTRANCE, EXIT ENTER ENTRY VIA AND TOILETS VIA 123 AUTO-DOORS BORONIA EXIT VIA 456 . EXIT VIA SIDE DOORS DO NOT arrive more than 5 minutes before TOILETS 4, 5 & 6 TOILETS 1, 2 &3 your session is scheduled. EXIT THE VENUE within 5 minutes of your session ending. If you arrive early, WAIT IN YOUR CAR UNTIL YOU CAN ENTER. Do not wait at or near the entrance of the stadium. The State Basketball Centre and Knox Basketball Stadium has seperate entry and exit points, as well as seperate toilets EXIT VIA AUTO-DOORS depending on which court you use. WHEN YOU ARRIVE EVERYONE who enters any stadium must check in. That means participants, family of participants, staff/volunteers and coaches. You can check in via the following links OR via the QR Code’s near stadium entry points. Please check in no earlier than 5 minutes before entering the venue. The whole family can be checked in on one form. YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED INSIDE THE VENUE UNLESS YOU SHOW THE COMPLETED FORM UPON ENTERING. DO NOT CLOSE THE PAGE UNTIL YOU WALK IN. WIPE WITH A SINGLE USE If you would like to utilise the cafe, you must ANTI-BACTERIAL WIPE adhere to social distancing regulations. You will see signage around the stadiums and on floors to help you with this. 2. DISPOSE OF THE WIPE PLEASE PAY WITH EFTPOS WHEREVER POSSIBLE. 3. HAND SANITISATION STATIONS
PARENTS, GUARDIANS AND GUESTS Under current government and Basketball Victoria guideines, ONLY ONE PARENT OR GUARDIAN PER PARTICPANT IS ALLOWED IN THE VENUE. These ‘non-participants’ must still adhere to all the rules outlined earlier in this document, including which bathroom they utilise. It is especially important that they practice social distancing while their child particpates in training. BIOSAFETY OFFICERS Stadiums will have biosafety officers working at all times. They will be easily identifiable in hi-vis clothing. It is their job to ensure the stadium is sanitised both during and between sessions. Please follow their requests. If an area exceeds the total amount of people allowed, they have the right to ask you to move.
IF YOU OR A FAMILY MEMBER TEST POSITIVE Once you have followed the advice of the government’s COVID-19 Hotline and your GP, it is imperative that you contact Knox Basketball. 1 Page Cheat Sheet for Return to Basketball 1. Stay home if you are unwell. Especially if you have a fever, are coughing, feeling fatigued, have shortness of breath or a sore throat. 2. Do not arrive early, and if you do stay in your car. 3. Enter and exit through the correct sections. 4. Check in either in your car when you arrive, while you’re walking from your vehicle to the door, or while entering the stadium. Maintain social distancing in the stadium. 7. Each participant can only have one parent/guardian with them in the stadium. 8. Listen to staff and biosafety officers at all times. 9. Depart within 5 minutes of your session ending. 10. If you test positive, notify us immediately.

CURRENT GUIDELINES We have now progressed to what Basketball Victoria is referring to as ORANGE-50 guidelines. The Victorian Government permits a return to competition and training for participants 18 years and under following the guidelines below. Participants over 18 years of age may resume non-contact training. WHAT IS ALLOWED? Participants 18 years and under: • Indoor Competition and Training. • Maximum of 10 players per team. • Maximum of 1 Spectator / Parent or Guardian per player. Participants over 18 years of age: • Indoor or Outdoor Training with no more than 20 people participating. • No physical contact: no High-5s, handshakes, screens, boxing out, bumping, one on one play etc. • Maximum training session of 60 minutes. • Maximum of 10 people. (plus a coach or organiser) • Follow hygiene and social distancing rules. WHAT IS REQUIRED? • Venues must comply with Basketball Victoria’s Return to Sport Guidelines (ORANGE-50). • Hand Sanitiser and Anti-Bacterial Wipes must be available for participants. • Government social distancing regulations must be followed (1.5m separation, 1 person per 4m2).
CURRENT GUIDELINES CONT. HYGIENE PRACTICES • You are required to keep a record of attendance at each training training or game. • Balls must be sanitised prior to use using a single use anti-bacterial wipe. The wipe must be disposed of after use. • Participants must supply their own drink bottle and towel, all clearly labelled. • Changeroom facilities must comply with 4m2 rule • Do not use public water fountains. • Do not share food/snacks. • Wash hands thoroughly or use hand sanitiser before and after each session. • The AIS Framework for Rebooting Sport in a COVID-19 Environment - recommends athorough full body shower with soap before and after training (at home).
ORANGE-50 GUIDELINES On the court: • Maximum 20 players per court (so this allows for one team per half-court) • Players must supply their own balls. These must be sanitised at the venue prior to use. • Maximum of 60 minute sessions • Minimum of 20 minutes break between sessions • 5 minutes for everyone to leave, 10 minutes to clean, 5 minutes for arrival. • Maximum of 3 ‘team staff’ (coaches, managers etc) • Scrimmages and contact drills allowed • Hi 5’s, shaking hands etc BANNED • One spectator per participant You’re allowed 50 people per one court ‘space’ - 20 players, 20 spectators, 3 staff per side + bio safety officer takes you to 47. However, don’t aim to ‘get to’ 50. Less is better. Off and around the court: • You must have a designated biosafety officer • Seperate entry and exits • All spectators must be 1.5m away from each other • Avoid cash handling • Court cleaning - Daily • COVID Health Signage - Mandatory • Hand Sanitiser at entry - Mandatory • Public water fountains - Closed • Sanitise score bench / team bench area - mandatory before every session • Toilets - cleaned daily and social distancing followed
COVID-19 BIOSAFETY OFFICER POSITION DESCRIPTION Basketball Victoria (BV) is committed to the safe return to sport of all participants following the COVID-19 pandemic. To monitor and manage the reactivation of the sport, Basketball Victoria has committed to the Victorian Government that all venues will have a nominated Biosafety Officer (BSO) wherever the venue is in use. The following Position Description outlines the duties of this role. Who • The BSO may hold multiple duties at the same time provided, they can prioritise the responsibilities of the BSO role when required; • The BSO must be clearly identifiable within a venue at any time, by wearing a High Vis Vest or similar. Purpose • To monitor and report on a venue’s compliance to Basketball Victoria’s Return to Sport Guidelines (RTS Guidelines); • To record the number of people within a venue at a time; • To minimise the risk of person to person transmission of COVID-19 within a venue; • To provide necessary information to the Association or Club in the event of a positive COVID-19 test from one of the participants; Duties The BSO; • will monitor no more than four (4) courts at a time; • will complete the venue checklist prior to the commencement of training or games; • will complete the venue checklist and record the number of participants within the venue during each allocated training or game timeslot; • will ensure that equipment is sanitised in accordance with the RTS Guidelines; • when required, will ask patrons to separate, or leave the venue to comply with the RTS Guidelines; • will return a signed checklist at the end of their shift. • will report any participant refusing to follow reasonable requests to the Competitions Manager of the club or association At the end of your shift, upload your form to bit.ly/knoxbiosafety
