Electrical Engineer for Renewable Energy Division Candidate must be a graduate from an accredited 4-year college with a minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, with a strong background in computer science and a minimum 5 years' experience in the energy engineering field. Candidate must have strong written and oral communication skills and experience working with project managers, construction managers, building operators and customers. Candidate must have advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS Access and MS Project, including the ability to generate database tables, reports and queries using large amounts of raw data. Candidate must have hands-on experience in building energy efficiency systems in the areas of building envelope, heating ventilation and air conditioning systems, lighting, lighting controls, building automation, refrigeration, heat rejection, heat recovery, heat generation, electricity generation and renewable energy applications. Candidate must have some experience in energy modeling, either with canned software programs or custom designed software applicable to all types of buildings in general and to the hospitality industry in particular, and must be able to correlate metered or utility-generated raw data to end-use consumption and demand by category and load through hourly simulations that include 30-year weather bin data and that take into account general engineering best practices and building code requirements. Candidate must have a good working knowledge of utility grid systems, their generation, transmission and distribution design and utility tariff rate analysis; and fossil fuel systems and their application to space and domestic hot water heating. In addition to the above, extra credit goes to the candidate who can write codes for sequences that use complex algorithms in a custom designed platform and dashboard and who is willing to travel and re- locate for several weeks at a time at distant project sites.
