City of Plantation Upcoming Events 18th Annual Forrest Gump Table Tennis Tournament Saturday, December 1 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM Central Park Gymnasium 9151 N.W. 2nd Street Entry fee: $20 per person This is a double elimination format. All participants are eligible for door prizes. Trophies will be awarded for 1st and 2nd place winners in all divisions. Registration begins Friday, November 9. City of Plantation Upcoming Events Bright & Smart Day Camps Ages 7 – 12 Plantation Central Park 9151 N.W. 2nd Street Friday, October 19 8:30 am - 3:30 pm Friday, December 21 12:30 pm -7:30 pm Thursday, January 3 8:30 am - 3:30 pm Friday, January 4 8:30 am - 3:30 pm These diverse courses will guide your child to develop basic engineering skills by teaching them how to create, build and program robots along with unique parts, animations and more. Residents $85/day Non-residents $95/day Aftercare available until 5:30 pm for an additional $15/day Do you want to build a snowman? Help bring some holiday cheer to the City of Plantation by designing your own Snowman/Snowwoman/Snow scene to be displayed at one of our parks. Your snow creation can be built by individuals or groups and can be made out of any material you like. Entries must not exceed 5 feet in height and must be able to stand on its own. Access to electricity will not be available. Prizes will be awarded to first, second and third place winners. Registration is open from Monday, November 5 to Friday, December 21. Deadline for entries is Friday, December 21 at 5:00 PM. All entries must be submitted to the Plantation Community Center, 5555 Palm Tree Rd., Plantation, FL 33317.
