The venue The WestMED Stakeholders Conference will take place on 9th November 2021 at the hotel Crowne Plaza St Peter’s, located at Via Aurelia Antica, 415, 00165, Rome (Italy). Directions The hotel is located in the city of Rome, close to the main tourist attractions and the Vatican City. • 2-minute walk from buses and metro stops from/to the city center and the main stations. • Easily reachable from the train stations Roma Termini (30 minutes) and Roma Tiburtina (40 minutes) by public transportation. • The venue can be also easily reachable by train/public transportation from Rome airports, Roma Fiumicino (45 minutes) and Roma Ciampino (1h). • The hotel has a private car park. How to reach the venue From Roma airports: • By taxi: It will take around 25-40 min, depending on the airport you are arriving and the traffic. You can take a taxi the Arrivals terminal on any of the airports. For further information about taxi service in Rome, please check on taxitevere.it • By bus: There is a shuttle bus line that connects the two Rome airports with the city center. The SIT Bus Shuttle service connects Roma Fiumicino or Roma Ciampino to Roma Termini train station. From the train station, you can take bus 889 and stops at Aurelia Antica/Torre Rossa stop, 2 minutes walking from the venue • By train: o From Fiumicino airport, the Trenitalia railway service “Leonardo Express” connects the airport with Roma Termini. From Roma Termini: • By taxi: It will take around 20 minutes, depending on the traffic. • By bus: Lines 64 and 98 bring to Aurelia Antica/Torre Rossa bus stop, with a short change in S.Spirito stop. Accommodation Hotel Crowne Plaza St Peter’s Bedrooms are available at the hotel where the conference will take place. Preferential rates are reserved for participants to the event until 22nd October. Interpretation The languages of the event will be English and French. Simultaneous interpretation is foreseen during the plenaries. What if I miss my plane? According to EU legislation, all passengers departing from/arriving in an EU country are entitled to a specific set of rights upon conditions. If you flight is cancelled, the airline must give you the choice between reimbursement or rerouting (you have the right to assistance while waiting). You may also be entitled to additional compensation (€125-€600) under some conditions. The airline must always inform you about your rights. If your luggage is lost, damaged or delayed, you may be entitled to compensation from the airline of up to about €1200. COVID-19 Information Regarding the COVID-19 procedure implemented by the Italian government for those arriving from outside the country, we strongly recommend you to carefully read the information included here. Participants will be requested to: • Travelling without any symptoms of COVID-19. • Filling out the Passenger Location form – Digital location form before entering in Italy. The form can be also found here. • Participants from the EU countries must present the EU Digital COVID Certificate at their arrival. Participants from non-EU countries entering in Italy for a period not exceeding 122 hours (5 days) for proven necessity due to work (among other reasons) are excepted of taking a test or starting a self-quarantine.
