While it looks like there might be hope for international leisure travel in the latter half of
2021, a staycation is still the quick alternative for now, if you’re looking for a relaxing
break from work. Luckily, there’s been an array of new and refurbished hotels in
Singapore.

                                                                                                    1/9

Situated at an intersection between culture and commerce, this newly-launched hotel
located in the heritage-filled Telok Ayer district aims to offer a modern cultural
experience. The 324-room luxury hotel obtained its namesake from the historic clan
associations located along Amoy Street.

                                                                                      2/9

Rich with culture and personality, the hotel is both stylish and charming with its
thoughtful cues to its neighbourhood. Heritage details and cultural artifacts can be found
throughout, ranging from Chinese tea sets in the lobby to contemporary oriental lamps in
individual rooms. These are curated and contributed by The Clan Collective, a group
consisting of local craftsmen as well as cultural curators.

                                                                                             3/9

Previously known as Marina Mandarin, the latest staycation spot in town has rebranded
itself as Parkroyal Collection Marina Bay under the Pan Pacific Hotels Group. The hotel
re-opened its doors in December 2020, while the final phase of works is expected to be
completed by May 2021.

The new concept introduces a biophilic theme that embraces nature, designed by FDAT
Architects. With 575 guestrooms across 21 storeys, the eco-friendly hotel showcases lush
greenery in abundance. Once fully completed, the prolific destination will feature a sky-
bridge for an enchanting treetop experience, as well as a jungle-like exuberant indoor
garden with illuminated sculptural pavilions. You can also utilise your $100
SingapoRediscover vouchers here, before they expire in June.

The hotel’s luxurious compound holds 198 stylish rooms and suites. Each room is a serene
sanctuary, with refined motifs and carpet prints serving as subtle references to the resort’s
Thai heritage. The bigger suites feature outdoor bathtubs for invigorating soaks and

the same cloth. SingapoRediscover vouchers are also accepted here, so make sure to put
them to good use.
