Commercial Burglaries: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information 05/24/2021 16000 J L Hudson Dr. Unknown on On 05/12/2021 The Southfield Police Department 9:17am (Abandoned- Old Michigan Entry. received a message via Facebook from R/P advising Inn Hotel) that a woman, later identified, went into abandoned building in the 16000 Block of J.L. Hudson to damage property. (Former Michigan Inn) The R/P stated he observed video footage from suspects Instagram Page as well her Snapchat account of her damaging property inside the building. Southfield Detectives drafted search warrants for suspects Instagram and Snapchat accounts. Suspect has been identified and investigation is on-going. Home Invasion: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information Status From: 05/29/2021 23000 Riverside Dr. S - Stolen R/P states, she and her daughters went to bed at 9:00pm (Apartments) Description approx. 9:00pm on 05/29/2021. At approx. 1:00am the Black iPhone 10 To: 05/30/2021 following morning she heard a door wall sliding open. 9:00am R/P dismissed this thinking it was coming from a neighboring condo. >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Later the same morning victim woke up at 9:00am and Citizens should discovered that someone had entered the apartment always secure their from the second story balcony. Automobile Thefts: Date/Time Address (block range) Year, Make, Model Details Status 05/25/2021 23000 Essex Way Ct. S - Stolen R/P (victim) entered the police building 4:52pm (Apartment Complex) Manufacturer demanding help. He punched the glass and HARLEY-DAVIDSON Color walked outside near the steps. Officers checked GRY - Gray Vehicle Year Body Style State on his welfare. R/P is a veteran and was 2012 MC - Motorcycle OHIO 2021 ultimately taken to the VA Hospital for a mental Description health evaluation. 2012 GRAY HARLEY- DAVIDSON While at the hospital, R/P advised his motorcycle Notes 2 Saddle bags attached, was stolen from the parking lot at his Apartment taken without keys Complex. (23000 Block of Essex Way Ct.) R/P stated he last saw his motorcycle at 12:00am on 05/25/2021 and discovered it missing around 11:00am the following morning. The motorcycle was parked under his carport. No suspect information.
Status From: 05/29/2021 22000 W Twelve Mile Rd. I - Information Only Victim states her vehicle was parked in the 11:00am (Apartments) Manufacturer parking lot at her Apartment Complex. Dodge To: 05/30/2021 Model Sometime between 05/29/2021 11:00am- Caliber 9:00am Color 05/30/2021 9:00am someone attempted to SIL - Silver or Aluminum break into her vehicle. The driver’s door-lock was Vehicle Year damaged but it doesn’t appear entry was gained 2008 Body Style into the vehicle. Unknown on the actual intent? 4D - 4 Door State No suspect information. OH License Year 2021 Status 05/30/2021 20000 Civic Center Dr. I - Information Only Victim advised he parked his vehicle in the south 3:04pm (Apartments) Manufacturer lot of his apartment complex underneath the car JEEP Model port near the main entrance around 12:00pm on GRAND CHER Color 05/29/2021. The following day around 3:00pm BLK - Black Vehicle Year victim went out to his vehicle and his only key 2018 Body Style State fob for the vehicle no longer worked and he was MI unable to unlock the vehicle with the fob. Description 2018 Black Jeep Grand The right rear passenger door window was Cherokee shattered, with 3 large scuff marks on the door. The center console pillar in the front seat passenger compartment was torn open and the vehicle would not start when he attempted to use his fob. It appears that someone attempted to reprogram the fob system attempting to take the vehicle. No suspect information.
Status 05/27/2021 16000 W Nine Mile Rd. RS – Recovered Stolen Officers were dispatched to the 16000 Block of W 2:56am (Hospital) Manufacturer Nine Mile Rd. (Hospital) regarding On-Star CHEVROLET Model pinging a vehicle. The vehicle was plotting at the CAMARO Color location for over an hour. Officers located the GRY - Gray Vehicle Year vehicle unoccupied. 2018 Body Style Vehicle was confirmed stolen by Detroit PD on 2D - 2 Door 05/27/2021 at 2:37am. State MI Vehicle was unoccupied in the main lot (W Nine License Year 2021 Mile Rd/Foster Winter Dr.) Vehicle was locked Description 2018 CHEVY CAMARO with no apparent damage. No keys with the vehicle/ ignition intact. A set of golf clubs were in the rear seat. Vehicle was impounded and DPD were notified of recovery.
Status 05/25/2021 17000 Dorset Ave. SR - Both Stolen and Victim states sometime between 05/24/2021 3:30am Recovered 10:00pm- 05/25/2021 8:30am someone stole her Manufacturer DODGE 2018 Black Dodge Challenger. The vehicle was Model CHALLENGER parked at her residence in the 17000 Block of Color BLK - Black Dorset St. Vehicle Year Victim states her neighbor caught the incident 2018 Body Style State with her ring doorbell camera. The incident MI Description occurred at 3:30am. Two subjects could be seen 2018 Black Dodge pushing the vehicle down the street from the Challenger Recovered Date/Time residence. 05/27/2021 7:50pm Location The vehicle was recovered in Ohio. OHIO No suspect info or arrest. Tips: ❖ Never leave your vehicle running unattended ❖ Park in areas where your vehicle is viewable if possible ❖ Use commercially available security devices
Larceny: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details Status 05/24/2021 26000 American Dr. S - Stolen Victim states he left his hotel room on 5/23/2021 8:22am (Hotel) Manufacturer at approx. 1:00pm and returned at approx. VS-SI Description 6:00pm. When he woke up the following Gold Chain/Diamond Pendant, Single Diamond Earing. morning at approx. 7:30am he discovered that his Gold Chain, Diamond Earrings and some clothing were missing from his hotel room. Officers contacted management and a review of their surveillance video shows two employees entering the room at different times. One of the employers was contacted. He stated he entered the room because he thought the tenants had checked out. He found some clothing in the room and checked it into Lost & Found. This was confirmed. The employee stated he didn’t see any jewelry when he entered the room. The first employee that entered the room was not contacted at time of report. Investigation is on-going. Video will be saved.
Status From: 05/25/2021 28000 Northwestern S - Stolen Victim states he left his handgun under the front 7:00pm (Hotel) Description seat of his friends Gray Subaru Outlander. Handgun was taken. To: 05/26/2021 Sometime between 05/25/2021 7:00pm and the 8:30am >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> following morning at 8:30am someone stole the Citizens should never leave handgun. There was no forced entry into the their firearm in the interior of vehicle. S - Stolen Victim is an employee at the business. After 1:00pm (Home Goods) Description clocking out and walking out to her car, she Apple iPhone 8, Gray In Color, To: 05/27/2021 W/Red And White Case realized she didn’t have her cell phone. 4:30pm R/P contacted her son and had him ping her phone. The ping indicated her phone was at her business. It later pinged in the 26000 Block of Franklin Pointe Dr. in Southfield. The phone was not located. No suspect information. Status 05/28/2021 28000 Thornapple Dr. S - Stolen Victim states she was at Metro Airport when she 2:47pm (Apartments) Description was approached by a Wayne County Airport Michigan License Plate was taken. Police Officer and advised that her license plate was reported as stolen. Investigation revealed that someone had taken her original plate and replaced it with the stolen license plate. R/P doesn’t know where or when her license plate was taken. No suspect information.
Status 05/27/2021 16000 W Nine Mile Rd. S - Stolen R/P states her husband was being treated at 8:10pm (Hospital) Description Hospital. In the 16000 Block of W. Nine Mile Rd. 1 pair of pear shaped earrings, 1 gold chain link bracelet, After visiting hours were over she left the 1 gold nugget bracelet, hospital. Shortly after leaving she realized she 1 gold neck chain w/black Jesus charm. left her husband’s jewelry on the window sill in 1 gold neck chain with spartan the hospital. charm, 1 gold neck chain w/spider charm. R/P returned to the hospital and discovered, someone had taken the jewelry. Security was notified. Investigation is on-going. Status 05/28/2021 22000 Foster Winter S - Stolen R/P states she went to Hospital in the 16000 8:56pm (Hospital) Description Block of W. Nine Mile Rd. on 05/20/2021 and Bank Checkbook Notes while at the hospital she secured her wallet & Approx. 6 checks were fraudulently written from the Checkbook with security. checkbook. On 05/28/2021 R/P was released from the hospital. She was given her property back but the checkbook was missing. There have since been several fraudulent checks written. No suspect information.
Status 05/28/2021 21000 W Eleven Mile S - Stolen Victim states she went to the Pharmacy in the 2:50pm (Pharmacy) Description 21000 Block of Eleven Mile Rd.to meet up with IPHONE 12 & IPHONE 12 PRO MAX one of her employees to drop some things off. After driving away, she noticed that her two cell phones that were on the passenger seat were now gone. One of the phones was pinging at 20000 Block of Knob Woods Dr. R/P stated there was a Dark Red SUV parked next to her vehicle when she walked out of the store and walked to her employee's vehicle. The vehicle had tinted windows and it appeared someone was in the vehicle. Surveillance Video from the CVS shows a Dark Red/Maroon Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 2005- 2010 model with tinted windows. The video didn’t cover the victim’s vehicle completely so you couldn’t see if anyone got out of the suspect vehicle. Officers conducted an area check where the phone last pinged and found a possible match for the suspect vehicle in the 20000 Block of Oldham Rd. The vehicle matches the description of the suspect vehicle and has a chrome running board on the driver's side as well. The registered owner of the vehicle has been identified and Investigation is on-going.
Status From: 05/29/2021 15000 Town Ctr. S - Stolen R/P advises that she was at several different 5:30pm (Parking Garage) Description locations throughout the night and early morning Laptop computer, CPL card, To: 05/30/2021 Eddie Bauer Diaper bag. hours. Detroit, Pontiac & lastly Southfield. 1:15am Taken from 2018 Hyundai Elantra Victim parked her vehicle at 12:55am in the parking garage in the 15000 Block of Town Center. At 1:15am victim discovered her baby’s diaper bag containing a laptop and CPL Card were taken from her vehicle. No suspect information. Status 05/24/2021 28000 Telegraph Rd. I – Attempted Larceny (Fraud) Officers were dispatched on a possible Fraud in- 3:13pm (Commercial- Cell Phone) Description progress. Once on scene the investigation 4- iPhone 12’s revealed the suspect attempted to purchase several Apple iPhones on another person’s account. It was confirmed the suspect did not have authorization from the account holder. The suspect was taken into custody for Attempted Larceny (Fraud). Tips: ❖ Ensure your vehicle is locked always and valuables are out of sight. ❖ Thieves wait for the right time and will move quickly ❖ Even if playing sports at a park ensure your vehicle is locked
Armed Robbery: Date/Time Address (block range) Item Taken Details None Reported: Tips: ❖ Always be aware of your surroundings and report suspicious incidents or persons to your local police. ❖ If something doesn’t appear right or someone looks like they are up to no good, call the police immediately ❖ Trust your intuition
Unarmed Robbery: Status 05/28/2021 23000 Essex Way Ct. S - Stolen R/P came into the front desk to make report. 12:35pm (Apartments) Description R/P stated male suspect who she has been dating Handgun was taken. for approx. 3 years, one child in common came to her residence unannounced and confronted her in the parking lot. He assaulted her and took her handgun from her which was holstered on her side. R/P attempted to hand off the handgun to a female friend and that was when her boyfriend snatched the gun. The boyfriend then fled the area in a silver sedan with tinted windows, possibly a Nissan. The suspect has been identified and Investigation is on-going. Tips: ❖ Always be aware of your surroundings and report suspicious incidents or persons to your local police

Suspect posing as OUIN= Operate Under Influence Narcotics employee from Water Department. LFA= Larceny from Auto R&C= Receiving & Concealing Stolen Property 19000 Block of Starlane: DWLS= Driving with Suspended License R/P states on 05/17/2021 between 12:00pm and A&B= Assault & Battery 1:00pm a W/M heavy set, knocked on her door and CSC= Criminal Sexual Conduct identified himself as a worker for the Water CCW/CPL= Carrying Concealed Weapon Department. The male was wearing a white helmet, NOLOP= No Operator License on Person green jacket, and blue shorts. The suspect told R/P R/A= Robbery Armed she had a leak that needed to be fixed but because RNA= Robbery Not Armed of COVID she had to clean the water meter before he PWID= Possession with Intent to Deliver could fix the leak. PPO= Personal Protection Order The two went in the backyard to check the water PBT= Preliminary Breath Test meter. R/P advised officers that the subject she was R/P= Reporting Party with was on the phone with someone when they VCSA= Violation Controlled Substance Act were in the backyard. (Most likely the Accomplice.) Call the Water Dept. to see if someone is supposed to be there. Call the Police right away if you think something isn’t right. Special Attention: Larceny from Vehicles Weapons Offense- 1- Arrest How to prevent this from happening to you! 05/29/2021 2:07am 16000 W Nine Mile Rd. -Citizens should never leave anything of value inside (Apartments) their vehicle. (Especially Handguns, Purses, Wallets, Officers were dispatched to the 16000 Block of W Nine Mile Rd. Cash & Cell Phones!) (Apartments) for a disturbance. Dispatch stated a male and female were fighting in the parking lot in front of the building. - If you have a garage you should park your vehicle in Officer arrived on-scene and located the female half. the garage and lock the garage. Officer activated his overhead lights and identified himself as a Police Officer. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician Field Tested the suspected cocaine. It tested positive for possible presence of Cocaine. The suspect was charged with Domestic Assault & Possession of Cocaine.
Assault w/ Intent to Murder- 1- Arrest 05/27/2021 2:43pm 28000 Block of Telegraph Rd. (Shopping Center) Officers responded to an area hospital for a gunshot victim. The victim advised the incident took place in the parking lot of Shopping Center in the 28000 Block of Telegraph Rd. in Southfield. Officers responded to location and contacted the suspect and witnesses. The investigation revealed there was a verbal confrontation after a road rage incident. The disagreement resulted in suspect shooting victim in the stomach. The 54-year-old male victim was driven to the hospital. He was listed in serious condition. The Detective Bureau was notified and responded. The responding Officers and Detectives determined there was probable cause to arrest the male for Assault W/ Intent to Murder. The suspect was arrested and lodged. The scene was processed and the investigation is ongoing.
CCW- 1- Arrest 05/25/2021 3:00pm 20000 Block of W Eight Mile Rd (Fast Food Restaurant) Officers were dispatched on a Subject Armed. The investigation revealed two employees had a verbal disagreement. One of the employees called family members to the business. One of those family members was armed with a handgun (no CPL). This person was taken into custody for CCW. Obstruct Police/ Violation of Injunctive Order- 1- Arrest 05/26/2021 6:41pm W Twelve Mile Rd. & Northwestern Hwy Officers were dispatched to a Domestic in a moving vehicle. The vehicle was located and a traffic stopped initiated. The male gave an alias name multiple times to Officers. Additionally, the male had an active injunctive order through the 47th Dist. Ct. and the female was the protected party. The male was arrested for Obstructing Officers and Violating the Restraining Order.
