Call for papers (I)
The VI conference of Phrasis Association aims to think about the different
patterns and tools used for the study of phraseology and paremiology.
Proposals from Professors, Researchers, Phd students are encouraged.

The main object is to examine in depth different perspectives including:

     Methods and theories related to phraseology and paremiology
     The introduction of new tools of work, such as digital technologies, and
     the benefits from their application to the phraseological and paremiolog-
     ical studies
     Comparison between the new patterns and tools used and the ancient
     ones in order to achieve a new value on the theoretical field.

We are addressing a wide range of topics, including:

     Contrastive phraseology, paremiology translation
     Phraseology, paremiology and rhetorical, cultural and cognitive motiva-
     tion
     Phraseology, paremiology and diachronic variation
     Phraseology, paremiology and synchronic variation
     Phraseology, paremiology and corpus linguistics
     Digital phraseology and paremiology and new technologies
     Phraseography and paremiography
     Phraseology, paremiology and language for specific purposes
     Phraseology, paremiology and language teaching/ language acquisition.

Papers are supposed to be presented in one of the following languages:

     Italian
     French
     English
     Portuguese
     Spanish

How to apply

Authors may submit proposals for the presentation of papers by filling the
application form they can find on the website (www.phrasis.it) by the 25th
April 2019. The form must include the following data:

     First name (s) and last name (s) of the applicant. (In case of multi-au-
     thored submission please indicate all the authors’ information)
     e-mail (In case of multi-authored submission, please indicate all the e-
     mails)
     Address and mobile number
     University of research unit the applicant represents
     Title of paper (or poster)
     Key-words (3-5 words)
     Topic (only one of the above indicated)
     Abstract including the scope of the project, its methodology and its find-
     ings, conclusions or intended results (max. 2000 characters)
     Bibliography (max. 5 titles)
     A short bio-data including a brief biographical data, the field of investi-
     gation, the recent publications (max. 1000 characters).

After Scientific Committee’s review, notification of acceptance will be sent out
by the 25th May 2019.

Presentations will last 30 minutes (20 minutes of presentation + 10 minutes
for discussion).
Papers offered for subsequent publication will be subject to a process of blind
peer review.

Posters will be exposed during the days of the conference. Please print them
in A0 format.

Registration fees
  26th May-29th June 2019:100 euros for Professors and researchers (70 euros
  for Phrasis members*); 50 euros for posters, PHD students and Temporary
  Research Fellows.
  30th June -31st July 2019: 120 euros for Professors and researchers (90 euros
  for Phrasis members*); 60 euros for posters, PHD students and Temporary
  Research Fellows.

Important: In case of multi-authored submissions, every author must register
and pay the appropriate registration fee.

*Only members in good standing with membership fees can benefit
from the reduced rate.

Registration fee and confirmation
The registration fee must be paid by bank transfer. Please follow the infor-
mation indicated on the website Association (www.phrasis.it).
In order to confirm the registration fee, authors must send an e-mail to phra-
sis2019.roma@phrasis.it with the following files: copy of the Conference
registration form and the copy of the bank transfer within 31th July 2019.
It is possible to pay the day of the conference (in case of inability to pay by
bank transfer) only if the participant sends the request to phra-
sis2019.roma@phrasis.it within 31st July 2019.

The authors’ proposals and posters that don’t fulfill the above mentioned re-
quirements (deadline: 31st July 2019) will not be accepted.
