Reading “Corner Stone Key Stone” by Pam Planet We are a corner stone, a keystone, link for humanity We are a goddess of sanity! We are a spokesperson We are a philosopher We have solved a problem of social history We are a movement of hope and enlightenment The key we found was in poetry, our poetry, the reflection of all we are and potential with it to express our dreams in conversations with self and all others from sleep to waking in all poetry The root to living in harmony with self, the world and nature is to allow everyone the freedom to write, speak, share their poetry daily Humanity is a collaborated effort to understand our whole We are the universe we create! Call to Confession As Jesus enters Jerusalem for the last time, we are reminded of the many promises he made about God’s forgiveness. We also remember his admonition to go and sin no more. Let us join our hearts and minds in a common prayer of confession. Prayer of Confession Dear Christ of all Compassion, we are amazed that even though your suffering was a result of human greed, pride, fear and ignorance, you continued to extend your love to all who would listen. We confess to you that we are humans who also fall prey to greed, pride, fear and ignorance. We seek your forgiveness, we hope for a new way, and we long for your eternal presence with us. Assurance of Grace Leader: Friends, believe the good news of the Gospel! People: Through the love we know in Christ, we are forgiven. 3

Matthew 21:1-11 When they had come near Jerusalem and had reached Bethphage, at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples, saying to them, “Go into the village ahead of you, and immediately you will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her; untie them and bring them to me. If anyone says anything to you, just say this, 'The Lord needs them.' And he will send them immediately.” This took place to fulfill what had been spoken through the prophet, saying, “Tell the daughter of Zion, Look, your king is coming to you, humble, and mounted on a donkey, and on a colt, the foal of a donkey.” The disciples went and did as Jesus had directed them; they brought the donkey and the colt, and put their cloaks on them, and he sat on them. A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, and others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. The crowds that went ahead of him and that followed were shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest heaven!” When he entered Jerusalem, the whole city was in turmoil, asking, “Who is this?” The crowds were saying, “This is the prophet Jesus from Nazareth in Galilee.” Leader: Hear what the Spirit is saying to the church! People: Thanks be to God. Sermon “Cornerstones, Keystones and Capstones” 5
