CONNJAM Registration https://mycouncil.ctyankee.org/Program/26 • $35.00 Regular fee • $20.00 Day Participants • Cub Scout Family Fee: Less than 4 is $35/youth adult fee. $130 for family of 4 or more*. • *The family fee is for registered youth in a Cub Pack May 13-15, and their nonregistered siblings. Siblings registered in 2022, Orange a Troop, Crew, Post or Ship MUST register through their unit and are not eligible for this fee. Fairgrounds • Units that paid the $100 Unit Deposit to secure the $30 Early Fees must be paid in full by 4/11/2022. After 3/31/2022, Any Individuals Not Fully Paid Increase To $35 Per Person. Unit Deposit will be applied to the overall balance.

CUB SCOUT PROGRAMS Come with your pack, your den, or just your family. Superheroes of the Scout Law You can stay for the whole weekend, camping in Cub World, or just come for the day on Saturday. This is the biggest Scouting event in Connecticut - thousands of Scouts will be there! Don’t miss out - ConnJam only happens every 3 years. Cub World -- Earn Superpowers at Cub Scout World with Superpowers of the Scout Law with 12 fun action stations and activities. Then, Saturday night, be prepared for a high-energy show with top-notch music, magical entertainment, and more, culminating with an awesome fireworks display.
OA Activities at CONNJAM OA Activities • Friday Night Call-out Ceremony Joe Loffredo Lodge Chief • Ultimate Frisbee Tournament • Quinnipiac Dancers • Native American Village GRILL & CHILL: All Scouts are invited to the Owaneco Lodge Ultimate Frisbee Tournament and Grill n’ Chill on April 9 at 10:30 a.m. at Deer Lake Scout Reservation! These are the initial rounds of the ConnJam Ultimate Frisbee Tournament with the finals in May at ConnJam. The frisbee tournament is open to all registered BSA members ages 11-17! • The event is free; registration is required and now Quinnipiac Dancer & open. https://www.owaneco.org/register Native America Village • There’s fun for the family too with a scavenger hunt, Chris Fagan Contact axe throwing, cornhole, Canjam, relays and more. • Lunch is available for $5.00 paid in advance or $10 day-of.
FOOD SERVICE -- Mike Card Chair & TRADING POST -- Jay Lubin Chair Enjoy the program and leave the cooking to us! Food service will be provided throughout the weekend starting Friday night. Breakfast, lunch and dinner may be purchased at the food pavilion. Snacks and candy will be available at the Council Trading Post. Units can also cook on their own.
Camping • Units may arrive after 4:00 pm on Friday. Only the Administration south entrance to the site will be open for traffic. Connie Hemphill Chair All vehicles, except for the one designated drop- off vehicle, will drive directly to the parking area. Units are not allowed to proceed to their designated campsite until their unit leader checks in. • Campsites: The Administrative staff will assign the campsites. Sites will be assigned according to the unit’s district and number of participants registered for the event as of April 25. Unit leaders are to camp in the unit’s 30’x30’ area. Larger registered units may be assigned an oversized or double site. Tentative campsite assignments will be made starting May 1. • NO VEHICLE may park in the camping area and NO TRAILERS are allowed to be unhitched and left at the campsite. All gear must be kept within the designated campsite boundaries. Vehicles with trailers must proceed to the designated trailer parking area after unloading.
More Administration Information Volunteers Needed: As with any scouting event, the more hands, the easier the load. Units are requested to designate two adult unit members as program volunteers to assist the event staff for a portion of the weekend. If possible, units should provide contact information for their volunteers in advance. All volunteers should check in at the ConnJam Commissioner tent located near the food service area. COVID-19: At this time, the Council policy is that use of masks is optional. Camping guidelines will be released on April 15 when more is known about the state of COVID-19 and any restrictions the town or state might have. This is all subject to change. Commissioner Service: CONNJAM Commissioner David Zeh is organizing an active Commissioner Staff. Commissioners will oversee the camping areas and be on hand to assist units throughout the weekend. A Commissioner Challenge for unit leaders is in the works.
Marketing -- Sponsorships – Yard Signs -- Midway Communications/Marketing Purchase a yard sign to highlight your Bob Brown Chair organization, business, or unit. The cost is $50. ConnJamMedia@ctyankee.org Makes a great campsite gateway sign. https://mycouncil.ctyankee.org/Event/ConnJam LawnSign Our midway will be packed full of displays from both Scouting and outside organizations. No charge for Scouting groups. Tables for nonprofit organization are $100 or $200 businesses. Interested in having a spot on our midway?
