OKEFENOKEE AGRICULTURAL FAIR ATTENTION: Everyone residing in counties shown on the Area Map are eligible to compete for premiums in the Okefenokee Fair, subject to rules and regulations as outlined in the Premium Catalog. FORESTRY Dendrology (Tree Identification) 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 10, 2021 Barry Deas - Chairman DIVISIONS: Senior FFA/4-H (12th grade & Below) Junior FFA/4-H (9th grade & Below) RULES: 1. A county may enter two teams of four members in each division or one or two individuals if they do not have enough members for a team. Top three scorers will determine team winner. 2. Contestants will be required to identify a number of trees or leaf sprays of trees. Contestants will be judged on accuracy of the identification. 3. The team with the highest total score will be the team winner in each division. The individual with the highest score will be the individual winner. 4. FORESTRY Junior & Senior Wildlife Chairman – Dustin O’Neal Co- Chairman - Jay Bennett Wednesday, November 10, 2021 - 2:00 p.m. DIVISIONS: Senior FFA/4-H (12th grade & Below) Junior FFA/4-H (9th grade & Below) Students will select a practicum to compete in: General ID (15) items Game Bird (15) questions/id’s (no calls) Whitetail Deer (15) 3 jawbone, 3 antler, 9 questions Aquatic (15) 7 id, 8 questions If a student wants to compete for the overall high individual they can attempt all sections, but only one of their practicum scores will figure into the team score. Grading: These items will be graded either correct or incorrect, with students receiving appropriate score on each item.
