               PASSION FOR TEACHING
Achieving a teaching qualification in New Zealand has enabled He Jiang to bring new
enthusiasm, skills and knowledge to her role as an educator.

After identifying a yearning to rekindle her passion for
education, Chinese graduate He Jiang knew enrolling in the
Graduate Diploma in Teaching (ECE) with New Zealand Tertiary
College (NZTC) would provide her with a fresh perspective on
teaching.

“I had been working in an early childhood centre in China for
five years, and was starting to feel as though I was stuck just
following the same daily routines.

“I decided that I could benefit from some further learning and
new inspiration, so I chose to move to New Zealand and learn
more about their progressive ECE curriculum.”

He says that her confidence and expertise as an educator has
grown hugely since engaging in both theoretical and practical
learning throughout her NZTC studies.

“I absolutely cherished the chance to work in various centres
which were all unique in their own ways. Applying the
conceptual knowledge gained from my academic courses
equipped me with valuable new skills and gave me a professional
edge for finding a job after completing my qualification.

Enspirement (Inspiring + Environment = Enspirement) is a new
virtual community that has been created by experienced ECE
professionals, with a vision to help transform the early childhood
education experience by supporting and guiding teachers to
create meaningful environmental designs.

The digital platform shares content, inspiring images, ideas,
research, trends and best practices. It is a place for educators
to go to share, connect with others and learn in a virtual
professional development space.

NZTC recently gifted a four month enspirement membership
to all of its ECE students in August, enabling an opportunity for
engagement with this new initiative that supports our early
childhood sector.
