Dear Biathlon Family,
Welcome to the Fort Kent Outdoor Center for the 2020 North American Biathlon Cup #4 from January 30-
February 2, 2020.
Individual Registration is available on Skireg.com. If you prefer you may complete the attached Individual or
ITeam Registration forms. These forms with payment are due 12:00 pm (noon) on January 30, 2020.
We wish all teams the best of luck during the competition, and I can assure you that our volunteers will do our
best to ensure the competitions are fair and will make every effort to give you the best skiing and shooting
conditions possible with what Mother Nature offers us.
The FKOC has been host to two IBU world cup events and numerous US National Championships over our 20
year history in biathlon. We have 30 Mechanical targets that will be used for this competition, and the ski
courses are all approved with an A class license from the IBU.
We look forward to having you as our guest for the weekend!

All Classes will use .22 cal rifles, there are no air rifle classes.
U15 and U13 Boys and Girls will have 30 sec penalty for each missed target, all other classes 150m penalty loop.
Rules
The current IBU event and competition rules will be in effect for the event. Any modifications to the rules will be discussed at
the team captains meeting.
Eligibility
Any member of USBA or Biathlon Canada in good standing may participate in this event. Please have current registration card
or number at registration.
Awards
Awards will be presented for First, Second and Third in each class provided there are enough competitors in the class.

We are offering lunch tickets for Saturday and Sunday noon meals @$8 each and
Saturday evening banquet tickets @$15 each for a chicken, lasagna, salad, and dessert
meal with awards following at the FKOC Lodge. Advance payment is available online on
Skireg.com and is requested in order to ensure we have enough meals for all who would
like them.
Registration
Online registration and payment for individuals (NOT teams) will be available on SKIREG.com
Trail Passes
Trail passes are required for unofficial training outside of the competition schedule, $15 Adult, $10 U17
daily.
Wax Rooms
Heated Wax Rooms are available for $50/day, please pick up your key at the competition office.

WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY
Identification of risk. I, the above named competitor, know that biathlon consisting of Nordic skiing and rifle marksmanship, involves risks of serious injury,
including permanent disability and death. I understand that these injuries might result not only from my actions, but the actions or negligence of others.
Assumption of Risk. I agree that I am responsible for my safety while participating in biathlon training and completion. I assume all risks, both known and
unknown, connected with my participation.
Waiver. Being aware of the risks and willing to assume them, I waive, release and hold harmless Fort Kent Outdoor Center and Pineland Farms, Inc., volunteers,
directors, officers, coaches, sponsors, advertisers, and owners/leasers of used premises from all claims for liability, injury, loss, or damage connected with my
participation in biathlon training and competition. I intend for this waiver and release to also apply to my relatives, personal representatives, heirs,
beneficiaries, next of kin and assigns.
Insurance. I currently have, and agree to maintain through the time I participate, sufficient medical and accident insurance. I understand that this is my
responsibility and release anyone from providing it for me.
I have read this agreement carefully, understand that I give up substantial rights by signing it and sign it voluntarily.
