We strongly encourage you to order your class materials online at www.cedarcrest.bncollege.com and use the pick-up window during Orientation to get your order. If you have qualified for the CCC Book Voucher, you must purchase your class materials in store; you will not be able to apply the voucher to an online order. Greet and introduce yourself to faculty, staff, families, and friends as you walk through the doors of Blaney Hall and officially enter the Cedar Crest College community. Immediately following this ceremony is the class photo! Bring your appetite for a delicious breakfast to start your fun-filled day off right! 9 a.m. - Noon Mapping Different Perspectives Location: Canova Commons, Tompkins College Center (TCC) Dr. Leon John, Executive Director of Diversity and Inclusion, will guide students through self identity exploration while introducing students to new perspectives and ideas that they may encounter while mapping their way through CCC! Noon - 1 p.m. Lunch Location: Canova Commons, Tompkins College Center (TCC) 1 - 4 p.m. Campus Resource Tour Location: Meet at Falcon Spot Being successful at Cedar Crest starts with knowing how to get what you need. Join your FYE Mentor and Falcon Group on a campus resource tour that will take you to various offices around campus. You will meet faculty and staff, learn how each office can help you, and maybe even pick up some swag along the way! 4 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Strawberry Festival Location: President’s Residence Lawn Since 1913, the Strawberry Festival has been a wonderfully delicious tradition at Cedar Crest. Prayer and Reflection Space During orientation, students and families are welcome to use the following facilities for prayer and reflection: the Chapel, located in Alumnae Hall, 1st floor and the Muslim Prayer room, located in Butz Hall, lower level. Catch a shuttle to Target and stock up on the things you need. *Masks must be worn in the vehicle. Noon All Athletes Meeting (Required for ALL Student Athletes) Location: Lees Hall Meet with the Athletic Director, Dr. Allen Snook, the athletic coaches, and returning athletes to hear about what it means to be a student athlete at Cedar Crest. 1 p.m. The Semester Ahead Location: Alumnae Hall Join Deans Kyle Dailey and Dr. Calley Taylor as they prepare you for the semester ahead. They will discuss topics such as health and safety measures, new programs and tools for student success, and how to start the year with a strong academic plan. 2 - 2:45 p.m. Class Meeting with FYS Class & Instructor Location: FYS Classroom Join your First Year Seminar Instructor and your classmates for your first official meeting of the year.
