Volume 43 Issue 12 Page 3 MERRY CHRISTMAS & MAY GOD BLESS US, EVERYONE! This time of year brings about many warm memories of years past. As a child, I looked forward to Christmas pageants, making cookies and handmade ornaments for the tree. I recall watching many Christmas spe- cials while eating cinnamon toast and drinking hot cocoa. The wonder of the Christmas lights and the anticipation of Christmas morning. I knew that dad had made me something awesome. I loved going to Church for the Christ- mas Eve service, most of the time in a new dress that mom had made and then home to unwrap our new pajamas so we could wear them to bed. (Mom always made us kids matching pjs. She still makes them for the grandkids). I won’t lie...I kind of miss that tradition now that I am an adult. We always had presents under our tree, but I couldn’t tell you how many. The ones that I remember now are the ones that my parents made: toy box, doll cradle, jewelry box, Raggedy Ann & Andy dolls, Sock Monkey, Checkerboard, cedar chest and the list goes on. It makes my heart happy to remember these times, especially when things are how they are. Life isn’t perfect and usually doesn’t go as planned. We all have difficulties, stresses and losses to deal with along the way. This year, my prayer for each of you, is that you are able to remember a time when everything seemed right and you thought “Life doesn’t get any better than this”. I bet that memory will include people you love and not stuff you no longer have. Even if it has to be virtual this year, surround yourself with the ones you love. Count your blessings...I know, I am!!! GOD BLESS! Noble County Council on Aging and Noble Transit

And behold, the star that they had seen when it rose went before them until it came to rest over the place where the child was. 10 When they saw the star, they re- joiced exceedingly with great joy. 11 And going into the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they of- fered him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh. 12 And being warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they departed to their own country by another way. 13 Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, “Rise, take the child and his mother, and flee to Egypt, and remain there until I tell you, for Herod is about to search for the child, to destroy
