#IAPSConf19 IAPS Annual Conference 2019 QEII Centre, London Thursday 26 September to Friday 27 September
#IAPSConf19 IAPS Annual Conference 2019 Message from Christopher King Chief Executive, IAPS A very warm welcome to the 2019 IAPS Annual Conference. It’s been a year full of challenges, many of them financial, but the resilience of the schools in membership of IAPS has really shone through. The determination you have shown in finding a way through the increase in the teachers’ pension contributions also show the Association schools at their most nimble. A great concern to keep any fee increases down to a minimum has underpinned the strategies you have each adopted and IAPS HQ has tried hard to keep you informed of the unfolding situation and set out options for you. Despite great uncertainty politically and the wider economic challenges, I remain optimistic for our members, their schools and for the sector as a whole. This year’s Conference offers you the joint prospect of stimulating new ideas in a diverse range of subjects as well as a wealth of practical strategies for you to take back to your schools. You will, no doubt, share and exchange ideas with colleagues but I hope you will leave London this year enthused with ideas for taking your school forward during the next twelve months. I am enormously grateful to the IAPS HQ team who support you throughout the year and for the invaluable part they play in making the Conference run so well. I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible during the two days we are together and to learning of your personal and your school’s achievements. Page 2
