MANAGER’S CORNER Maria Ingato The Office: With the lifted restrictions, the Management Office is open and available if you need assistance. Remember it is always best to call first for faxes, copies, etc. to be sure the timing works for you with minimal wait time. We have placed a box out in front of Diane’s window for Committee Selection Forms (which are due by July 5th). Remember that you are signing up for the balance of 2021 and 2022. Even if you are already a part of a committee, you must re-apply every year. Car Tags and Replacement FOBs: Please remember an appointment is needed to receive replacement FOBs and new car tags for new cars. The office needs time to program and designate the equipment. Bus Trips: We still have bus trips, weekly, to the food stores and we have resumed the monthly trips to the Mall! Please refer to the bus calendar in this issue. Landscaping: Landscape work is at full swing. If you have any questions with regard to landscaping, be sure to notify the office. All work orders and questions need to come through us. Pool: The calendar for the pool is included in this issue. Please note that we have put in a request for more days, but because there is a shortage of certified lifeguards, and because the municipalities are not back full time, the certification process is very slow. We will keep you all posted should anything change. Irrigation: The irrigation is also up and running. Remember that if you see any issues, please report them to the office. Do not attempt to repair anything yourself! We will put in work tickets for any issues, including, but not limited to: directional issues, spraying house, broken heads. Architectural: Please use the current Architectural Application which has recently been updated. Many of you are using an old form. Please be sure you are turning in the most current application form when applying for a permit. Also be sure you are signing on both sides of the application. We have placed a box out in front of Diane’s window for Architectural Applications. Please be sure your application is complete with samples, examples, and/or bond checks, when applicable, before dropping in the box to avoid processing delays. Rules and Regulations: We remind you all that you must refer to the Rules and Regulations, focusing on Title III for restrictions in the community. In this issue of the newsletter, there is a flyer regarding prohibited Architectural Modification and what is prohibited around your homes with regard to the Rules and Regulations. Please take a few minutes to read it through. Clubs and Committees: Now that the clubhouse is open, please contact Management to review meeting schedules and meeting locations when you are ready to resume. The Management Office will be closed on Monday, July 5th for the 4th of July holiday! The Management Office would like to wish to all our July and August Birthday Celebrants! 12 NEWS and VIEWS July/August, 2021

Sudoku Answers on page 21 Sudoku requires no calculation or arithmetic skills. It is essentially a game of placing numbers in squares, using very simple rules of logic and deduction. The objective of the game is to fill all the blank squares in a game with the correct numbers. There are three very simple constraints to follow. In a 9 by 9 square Sudoku game: • Every row of 9 numbers must include all digits 1 through 9 in any order • Every column of 9 numbers must include all digits 1 through 9 in any order • Every 3 by 3 subsection of the 9 by 9 square must include all digits 1 through 9 Every Sudoku games begins with a number of squares already filled in, and the difficulty of each game is largely a function of how many squares are filled in. The more squares that are known, the easier it is to figure out which numbers go in the open squares. As you fill in squares correctly, options for the remaining squares are narrowed and it becomes easier to fill them in. NEWS and VIEWS July/August, 2021 19
