Youth Enrichment continued More Summer Camps - History Camp (Ages 8 - 12) Florida has hosted many different kinds of people who thought and interacted with the world around them in different ways. Our four- day camp highlights different historical periods with crafts, activities, and challenges! We look at Native Cultures, European Arrivals, Soldiers and Settlers, and the Age of Steel and Steam to see how tradition and technology have shaped our modern world. Additionally, youth will learn hands on activities including: Participants get to handle and identify authentic artifacts from taking vitals, injections, fecal floats, etc. Camp spots are Florida history, and use reproductions as they would have been limited and campers must fill out a camp application used in their time. There will be musket-firing demonstrations by for selection. Youth Enrichment continued 4-H Open House Seminole County 4-H will be holding its annual Open House. This event is open to the public to come explore the many opportunities available to youth through 4-H. Participants will be able to meet 4-H club leaders, speak with 4-H members, and learn about the different clubs in Seminole County. This event is free and open to the public.
