As an incentive to the giver to support MFFCE, the FCE member receives an oak pin for their first $100 accumulative donation with additional stones for each level of contribution reached. PROJECT PATRICIA THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU Can’t say it enough. Thank you for the marvelous response to Project Patricia. The following are excerpts from a letter we received from Glenda Wylie, Project Patricia. “It was amazing the number of panties you collected! Good Job! We sent 3,000 pads with a group called Hands On Africa, for their trip to Kenya where they’ll distribute them (along with a pair of panties) to school girls in that country. The gentleman in charge told me that often headmasters walk up to him on the street to tell him they’ve heard about what he does and want him to bring some to their school. It is a major problem with the school- age girls not having sanitary supplies because they miss so many days of school that they often just drop our of school-which leads to many other problems in the country, as you can imagine. Thank you so much for sending the donation. We are thankful to get everything you sent, and I look forward to continuing to partner with you. Please pass along my thanks to the ladies in your State who helped. Many hands make light work, and it’s a good thing. This work is ongoing, in fact never ending. But every kit that is delivered includes the Word of God in it, and that’s the most important thing.” Missouri sent the following: 18 packages of 6 1 package of 10 12 packages of 12 9 packages of 3 1 package of 9 22 single pair Making 320 pairs of panties sent. We also sent 80 pads and I am sure this will increase as other clubs are joining this project. The Early Bird Workshop on Project Patricia went very well. June Romine did this workshop and had several members that participated. I asked Glenda about using the sheets on the outside, she stated that is what we use all the time. They’re perfect as we know they won’t shrink! Be sure they are washed and dried without scented soaps and softeners. Flatwoods Club brought me 68 pairs of panties and 45 pads, which I will be sending on to Project Patricia. Thank you ladies for coming over to Butler County and helping us cut and sew on the Weighted Blankets also. Any other pads or panties need to be mailed by the Clubs themselves. Please keep a total of how many you send and email me the amount. Mail to: Project Patricia, 5719 NW Creekview Dr., Parkville, MO 64152. THANKS AGAIN, Edna 11
