Diamond Cruise News February 2019 Issue 4 Follow Your Bliss! It’s time for you to “do you.” Feel the warmth of the sun on your skin, the tropical air on your face and the silky sand between your toes. In only a few more weeks, we will be sailing off to the warm waters of the eastern Caribbean on the gorgeous Norwegian Bliss! But before we set sail, we have lots of important information that you’ll need to read through carefully so that everyone can be prepared, relaxed and ready to enjoy their cruise. ADVANCE REGISTRATION By now, you should have received an email with information about your Norwegian Cruise Line advance registration, which must be completed online as soon as possible. Advance registration MUST be completed no later than 72 hours before sailing, but the sooner you register, the better. As soon as you register, you can begin booking dinner reservations, shore excursions and entertainment. Please look for the email that includes your reservation number and your stateroom number. If you have any questions regarding your advance registration, please contact your Lifeplus Cruise Team at 2019Cruise@lifeplus.com and we will be happy to assist you. If there are any issues with your name or other personal information on your passport, please let us know immediately so that we can contact Norwegian Cruise Line on your behalf and resolve any potential problems. Once you have completed your advance registration online, you can print your eDocs and bring them with you to Miami. But rest assured, Lifeplus will be providing you with copies of your eDocs and your luggage tags in the Welcome Pack you’ll receive when you check into your Miami hotel, so printing extra copies is entirely at your own discretion.
Diamond Cruise News Follow Your Bliss! February 2019 Issue 4 THE LAST STRAW! In an effort to respect the oceans and the life within them, Norwegian Cruise Line is no longer using plastic straws for their cocktails served aboard the Norwegian Bliss. If you ask for a straw at any of the bars, the bartenders will most likely give you a paper straw. The only onboard location at which you can get a plastic straw is Starbucks®. This is a good thing, and we applaud Norwegian for taking this very important step to save the seas. BLISS KEY CARD CHANGES The brand-new Norwegian Bliss has changed the type of key cards they use. They now use a key card with a sensor that you do not have to swipe; instead, you scan the card on the locking mechanism on your door. Because of the internal electronics needed for this technology, you should not punch a hole in your key card. The ship’s staff will not do this for you either. Be aware that if you do punch a hole in your key card, it may not function properly. Lifeplus will be providing key card sleeves as part of the Welcome Pack. Put your Bliss key card in the sleeve and hang it on your lanyard for easy access. If you happen to need more key card sleeves, please ask a Lifeplus Cruise staff member and we will be happy to help you. OPEN YOGA AND MORNING FITNESS CLASSES Did you know that we are offering open yoga and fitness classes? If weather permits, Lifeplus will be utilizing the space in Spice H2O, Deck 17 aft, for open yoga and fitness classes. These classes will be held only if Norwegian Cruise Line allows us to use this space and the weather is good. If there is too much wind or rain, the classes will be canceled. NOTE: Space is on a first-come, first-served basis. Bring your own towel from your stateroom; no yoga mats will be provided. Arrive early to make sure you can get a spot and relax before class. Diamond Cruise News Health and Safety Reminder February 2019 Issue 4 Even though we care a great deal about everyone’s health and wellbeing, remember that travel, change of climate and even seasickness can affect us all. Lifeplus will not be able to diagnose or treat any illnesses that may occur while on the cruise. However, Norwegian Cruise Line does have a medical office, located on Deck 13, for all passengers. If you feel ill, feverish or seasick or if you require any other medical assistance, you will need to contact the medical office and be treated by the ship’s doctor.* In your Welcome Pack, you will find a health questionnaire that is legally required by Norwegian Cruise Line for passengers checking in at the port. Please fill this out ahead of time and bring it with you to the port, along with your cruise documents and passports. You will need this health form to board the ship. Contagious illnesses on a ship are dangerous for everyone’s wellbeing; thankfully, Norwegian Cruise Line takes great care to make sure everyone remains safe and healthy. IMPORTANT: If you develop an illness or a fever during the cruise, please DO NOT attend any of the Lifeplus events until you have recovered. We understand that getting ill while on holiday can be frustrating, but please be respectful of the other passengers on the ship and within the Lifeplus group, and focus on your recovery.
