Article and photos by Tara Smith (SeeingDandy.com) Spring break this year was amazing. Especially since last year was a total bust due to the pandemic. Our family loves the outdoors and hiking so this year we decided to discover all that Land Between The Lakes has to offer. And we found the perfect Land Between The Lakes resort that’s situated in close proximity to all the outdoor places. The land that is found right between Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake is just 3 hours from St. Louis. It’s the perfect little jaunt from our home in the Midwest. Lots of outdoor adventures and hiking for the entire family. When I was researching resorts for our spring break trip I happened upon Green Turtle Bay and instantly fell in love with what I saw. This family owned resort has been in business for over 35 years and it’s a destination that I soon learned families return to year after year. It’s close to so many of the popular national recreation area attractions of Western Kentucky in addition to world class boating. My family and I discovered that this unique resort is full of so many gems. We absolutely loved our spring break in Western Kentucky and cannot wait to return. 7
