QBIC Annual Conference 2021 Moving Forward Together Friday 9 April - Saturday 10 April 2021 Sea World Resort, Gold Coast
Welcome to the QBIC Annual Conference 2021 QBIC will host its annual conference, “Moving Forward Together”, at the Sea World Resort Gold Coast over the 9th and 10th of April 2021. The conference theme highlights not only our new branding, but also our commitment as an Association to move forward together with our Members, State Government and TransLink, as we work to deliver a sustainable recovery path to rebuild our businesses and the economy. 2020 is probably a year to forget, however, as an Association it signified our 20th year as the peak Industry body in Queensland representing Bus and Coach Operators. I am sure that we will have an opportunity to celebrate this achievement, and I thank and acknowledge every person who has contributed to making QBIC what it is today, thank you. Again, we have endeavoured to deliver a program that is relevant and will add value or contribute to your business operation. Our program includes: • how flexible fatigue management can benefit your future business, • how we can deal with increasing daily pressures whilst maintaining a resilient and productive workplace, • what new technologies are available and how they are trending in Australia, • future changes to the Award system, and • the modernisation of the School payment model. Our Conference “Moving Forward Together” will again provide a unique opportunity to engage fellow Bus Operators and key decision makers of this billion-dollar industry in a relaxed, friendly, and informative atmosphere supported by a fantastic social program. I must also thank our Supply Partners and Sponsors for their continued support of our Association. Historically, the Gold Coast in April delivers an average temperature of 26 degrees with around 10.8mm of rain, what better place to meet, socialise and conference. On behalf of my Executive and Team, we look forward to welcoming you to the Gold Coast in April 2021. David Tape FCILT, CPP Executive Director/Association Secretary Queensland Bus Industry Council Inc.
