NASSAU GROVE NEWS DIGEST MARCH 11, 2022 Temporary Contractor/Vendor Front Gate Access Code for MARCH 2022 is: 87242 NASSAU GROVE COMMUNITY MANAGEMENT NEWS APRIL - A HAPPENING MONTH AT NASSAU GROVE QUARTERLY HOA DUES April begins with the quarterly $700 HOA fee due on April 1st. HPS emailed invoices to homeowners this week. Homeowners not receiving an invoice should contact Regina Martone at regina.martone@hpsmanagement.com to confirm the email address HPS is using, report a missing invoice, and/or request the invoice be emailed again. HOA dues not received by HPS Management by April 30th are considered delinquent and subject to late fee and interest. APRIL IS ELECTIONS MONTH As reported in this Digest, two Board positions are to be filled in April 2022. Homeowners considering a position on the HOA Board can view information under Governance & Finance / HOA Board on the website. Questions? Contact a current or past Board member. ELECTRONIC VOTING As in 2020 and 2021, election of Board members will be conducted electronically via Election Buddy. One homeowner in each unit is registered with Election Buddy and will receive a ballot via email on April 15, 2022. Voting will close at 9:45a.m. on April 23, 2022. Only one (1) vote per unit. Homeowners with questions about Election Buddy or electronic voting should contact Wade Kuhlmann at wade.kuhlmann@gmail.com. Candidate nomination forms submitted to HPS management will be emailed to all homeowners by April 2, 2022 to allow time to review before voting period opens.
VOTING & ANNUAL MEETING PROXY Homeowners unable to vote electronically AND unable attend the annual meeting in person or via Zoom may ask another homeowner to be their proxy. The new proxy form approved by the HOA attorney requires each proxy submit an electronic ballot and attend the Annual HOA meeting (in person or via Zoom) on behalf of the homeowner naming him/her as a proxy. Homeowners must understand that the person named on the form must attend the Annual HOA meeting in person or via Zoom in order for the proxy form to count towards quorum. ANNUAL HOA MEETING The Annual HOA Meeting is scheduled for Saturday, April 23, 2022, 9:30a.m. to 11:30a.m. Homeowners can attend in person at the Lewes Senior Center, 32083 Janice Road, Lewes, or via Zoom (pre-registration required), or be represented by proxy. To participate via Zoom, homeowners must click here or on the link under Announcements on the website to register (Members Only home page) for the Zoom meeting. A quorum is required to conduct business at the Annual HOA meeting. Consequently homeowners from 123 units must be present (in person, via Zoom or by proxy) to hold the meeting. HPS Management will email the agenda for the Annual HOA Meeting to all homeowners by April 2, 2022. NEW TREES PLANTED AROUND THE COMMUNITY Red Sunset Maple trees were planted in 10 locations in Nassau Grove. Since the removed trees were diseased and/or pest infected, the new trees could not be planted in the exact same location since the stumps could harbor disease or pests. Hence, the new trees were planted several feet away from the previous trees’ locations. The locations of the ten new trees are: (1) next to 17094 Cuvée; (2) at the end of Anjou on the cul-de-sac; (3) at the juncture of Spring Valley and the pond bridge; (4) at the corner of Grenache and Spring Valley; (5) on the pond across from the clubhouse; (6) at 31754 Chablis and (7) at 31742 Chablis; (8) on the pond near Carneros; (9) on the corner of Port Circle and Chablis; and (10) at the gazebo park. SNOW STAKES PICK UP Yoder & Sons will pick up the snow stakes during the week of March 24th. Based on prior experience, little threat of snow remains - fingers crossed. Homeowners are asked not to remove the snow stakes. Yoder will re-use the snow stakes next year. If any stakes are missing, the HOA will have to purchase replacement stakes again as occurred this year. UPDATES SECURITY GROUP – FRONT GATES are operational again. SHORE - Installation of compost on trees in the community continues. Shore will also complete edging and mulching of beds this month and apply the first round of fertilizer on the grass.
