Chhath Puja on the Marina
Hundreds of people conducted the Chhath puja on
November 13 on the seashore of the Marina. The annual
ritual is said to be a thanksgiving to the Sun god and
includes standing in water for long periods of time and
offering prasad. Many people were seen standing in the
sea water that evening.
