THE VISION FOR MURPHY’S YARD - maximising open public space the raised heathline A raised cycle and pedestrian route has been introduced on the rooftops of plots A and B, creating circa 2,300sqm of additional open public space Located adjacent to the southern edge of Highgate Studios and overlooking Murphy’s Yard, this new public space provides an opportunity for an extended playable landscape which references Sydney’s “Goods Line”. A bridge connection is proposed to link the rooftops of plots A and B, with a further circa 1,000sqm of open public space on the roof of Shed 2. THE VISION FOR MURPHY’S YARD - CELEBRATING HERITAGE the locomotive sheds Located at the heart of the site, locomotive sheds 2 and 3 are proposed for 1 repurposing as part of the celebration of the site’s industrial heritage. 2 Shed 2 is proposed to provide a combination of event space, food and beverage, and workspace within the existing footprint of the building.
