Meeteetse Senior Center offers congregate meals Monday and Wednes- day. Benefits of congregate meals are: healthy and nutritious meals, sense of com- munity, sense of purpose, decreased stress, and increased cognitive functioning for those participating in the program. Lunch is served Monday and Wednesday at 12 noon. Suggested Donation: Seniors 60 & over: $4.50, Mandatory Non-Senior: $8.00. THE LEGENDARY MEETEETSE LABOR DAY RODEO MEETEETSE RODEO GOT CHANGE PROGRAM The Meeteetse Rodeo committee is asking the community for assistance for the Labor Day Rodeo. We have regular sponsor ships as noted on the sponsorship form and letter enclosed. We would also like to give EVERYONE that reads this bulle- tin an opportunity to gather your change or loose bills and be a sponsor from $5 to $99, and have your name in the rodeo program. MEETEETSE LIBRARY STARTS NEW PROGRAMS! Meeteetse Library will be CLOSED for Labor Day – Saturday, Sept. 4 and Monday, Sept. 6. Get your books and movies early for the weekend, and have a Great Holiday! Many Thanks to all who came out for Taste of Meeteetse and stopped by the Library Table for a Taste of “Crow Stew”! We had a lot of fun with it! (And then we found out we won a prize – even more fun!) And remember, if you need to make your own pot of Crow Stew, or something equally unique, we’re sure to have just the book for you! Starting after Labor Day the Library will have an Elementary Kids Activity every Monday after school. We’ll do crafts, board games, Legos and a movie every now and then. Wednesday afternoons after Labor Day will be Wii Wednesday for Middle School and High School. Toddler Storytime continues on Thursdays at 10:00 am. Fun stories, songs and activities for those not in school yet. The Library plans to have a Float in the Labor Day parade. I am looking for 3-4 kids who would like to ride on our float. Qualifications are: Can be here Labor Day at 9:00 am, Have Parent/Guardian Permis- sion, and, most importantly, Can Smile, Wave and Throw Candy! Contact Miss Linda at the Library if in- terested. I also need to borrow a trailer for our float (mine has a “too bad to get to town” bad tire).
